I had the privilege to see War for the Planet of the Apes on Dolby Cinema when it was released in an AMC near Chicago, and not only is the sound so clear and crisp, but the already amazing motion capture animation is taken to a whole new level. It was the highest quality presentation that I had ever seen.
Mad Max Fury Road was my first Dolby Cinema experience. Also saw Force Awakens in DC. We got our seats in the middle of the room, it's great. The downside of it was that we had to take a 2,5 hour drive. Luckily my local theater is building a DC room at the moment

im glad i live near Burbank but out of all the movies i saw in Dolby Cinema last year my 2 favs were Logan & IT but since Dolby Cinema released back in 2014 nothing will beat my midnight premiere of X-Men Days of Future Past in Dolby Cinema 3D
One of these Dolby Cinemas has been installed in (well, they retrofitted an existing one) the AMC Theater at my local mall. They were playing 'IT', so I went to go see it again. Honestly, I felt it was indeed a better experience than when I saw 'IT' previously in one of the standard cinemas. Plus, MoviePass covered most of the ticket cost. :-)
Sounds kind of like the Warren theatre here In Oklahoma. Love a good presentation before a movie basically saying "prepare to get your socks blown off"
How different is this from AMC Prime? I was at Kingsman Golden Circle for Prime (not a conscious choice other than start time) and wasn't blown away. Is that a different effort by AMC?
Went to one, it devastated my ears. Not sure if the balance was off or if my ears are just sensitive, pretty sure it's the latter. But fair warning to anyone considering going, it's an all out assault on the eyes and ears! Only thing missing now is a nice dinner theatre,The Spy Kids scratch n' sniff 4D and those weird touch gimmicks from theme park theaters, complete sensory overload! Only then can I say that I finally made it to the future my parents dreamed of!
Learning about this seems kinda silly after watching "Some news" (Cracked?) about neonazis and stuff. We can't afford to look the other way while stuff knocks on our doors..

I work at an AMC in Columbus OH. My first experience with Dolby was seeing Kingsman 2. It made it a better experience even with the flaws of the film.

Guys, guys. Star Wars, original 1977 version. 70MM projection, 6-track Dolby Stereo Sound. Nothing can top that experience.
