So when are we going to reject the media politics and admit that Cam has been the best performing freshman in the country? If any other freshman was 3rd in the nation in PPG and led their team to a Top 25 bid, they’d be looked at as Jesus.
Their team is good as a whole. Him as a player. He’s decent. One night he can score on 55% shooting and another who can on 20% shooting. Sometimes it will take him 16 shots to get 28 points and sometimes it takes him 26 shots to get him 30 points. He can be super inconsistent and has major flaws in his game. He’s just a put shot creator but he doesn’t seem to get much separation. His defense is atrocious. No awareness or IQ on that end. Can’t play make. So he isn’t Jesus lol. He also isn’t the best performing freshman. What about Mobley? What about Cade? Their impact for their teams have been much more significant then Cam as Lsu was already a good competitive team the last 4 years. Like the Kid but there’s a reason why people don’t see him as “Jesus”

Sharife needs to change his form so he can create his shot and not just rely on driving , at the next level he won’t be blowing by this easily and they will play him to make him create his own shot and I think he doesn’t have that skill yet.
The crazy thing is he his shooting Mechanics were better when he was younger. As a freshman and a sophomore at McEachern he had a quicker release and he use to elevate more. I'm not sure if he shoots with less effort because he gained more strength or what but I would love to see him get back to elevating when he shoots.

He’s a solid rebounder for his size, moves his feet well on defense, good finisher around the rim, and has “potential” as a shooter.
