Hi Kienen, been following your channel for a while. I start my internship next week! I went looking for your videos in my playlists, and I realized TH-cam is not showing 90% of the ones I added for some reason. It says they’re considered “unavailable”. Might be on my end but I figured I’d let you know. Thanks again for the work you’re doing, you’ve been a huge help.

Yo! I love your channel! I’m a junior at Boise State University pursuing a Bachelor’s in Construction Management. I can’t wait to start working in the field.

Hi Kienen! Greetings back from Argentina, I'm currently studying civil engineer and i wanna ask you about the common problems that you might have at the construction site. Maybe you can make a video about a recent problem that you cross and how do you solve it or going to.
Thanks you and for this channels. Awesome work!
    Take care!

What do you do on the office side of things as a construction project engineer? What are you're responsibilities there?

Can you suggest a field where I get to go out all the time? I mean being outside is part of the reason why I chose civil engineering after all

You could go on the path towards becoming a superintendent. That’s what I’m doing, and I feel the same way about being in the field! I love being where the action is and coordinating the work.

This might be late as could be, (but I am about to graduate UH in a year with a CNST degree) I would love to have an opportunity with what yall might offer.

Just found your channel, great source of information, my question what is the typical routine for construction engineer? As in when do they start and finish, can you start like 6 PM and finish 2 AM in the morning? does it change each week?

Loving the channel… do you think there’s more value with a Civil Engineering degree… vs Construction Management Degree? Or can you get the same opportunities

It depends on what your career goals are. If you want to work for a GC and become a superintendent / PM, a CM degree is all you need. If you want to become an actual certified engineer, you’ll need the Civil degree.

Hi kienan, I’m a civil engineering student and want to concentrate in construction engineering but I’m a little confused on the job titles for construction engineers. What would be the titles of internships I should apply to for them to be construction related?

    • @tnt254254
      @tnt254254 2 ปีที่แล้ว

There’s a lot of different names as each company calls the position something different. It sounds like you’ll want to work for a GC, so look up the large GCs in your area, and apply for internships there.
The names for the office side could be project engineer, construction engineer, project manager, etc.
The names in the field (where I personally work) could be field engineer, assistant super, etc.
An ideal internship would expose you to the office and field side of things ideally. It’s how I found out I didn’t like all of the paperwork involved with the office. I prefer working face to face with the subcontractors and coordinating work on site all day.
It’s an amazing job, no day is the same and you’re never not busy. It’s stressful, and there are long hours (45-60 hrs on salary so no OT), but if you enjoy it, it’ll be a very fulfilling career.

Good day to you sir ❤ I hope you are doing well.
Hope you notice my email. I'm always watching your videos sir, and probably you won't notice my email because of your busy schedule. I hope you have some small time sir. I only need to ask a question or two. You are the reason why I pursue this course sir and I thank you for that.
    Hope you reply 😍
