Gran Turismo 7 - World Touring Car 600 (Cafe Menu 33) UPDATE

- Cafe menu book number 33 in the campaign presents us with the Championship: World Touring Car 600 where we need to tune to be under PP 600. I've chosen to go with the Ferrari F430, showing which downforce modifications I've purchased along with other upgrades and also tweaked the settings sheet to optimise this car for the wet conditions on the first race. We then race the car at the Red Bull Ring in Austria against the competition in the wet.

I used your VW build for this championship and won all 3 races, Suzuka was a lot closer than I'd have liked though about 0.5 sec lol. I use a wheel and pedals which may make it a tad easier though. Nice vid though mate, I may try my Ferrari 308 on this now, should be a laugh.
Very nice! Suzuka is definitely the closest of the 3. I'm using the dualsense controller as I don't have enough room for a wheel and pedals sadly until I move house. Thanks for the comment, haha good luck with the 308!
Can you link me the setup of VW?
What difficulty setting are you doing it on? I have mine on hard with all assists off and I've come 1st 2nd 2nd but that RX-7 has crazy straight line speed. I'm finding it harder to get first on this than I did gold on S-10 😂

I have been stuck on this race for 6 months and i quit for a while and now im trying it again and its still really hard😢
Thanks for the comment. I play with a controller to try to make it easy for anyone to replicate these results, when it's wet you need to be very careful with the throttle and ease it in, sometimes getting off it fully to help cornering too. I'd suggest rewatching the video and focusing on my throttle and brake application, seeing how much I lift off them too. Hopefully this will help make the difference for you because the car and tune should be solid. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the comment. There have been a few updates to the game which have changed how the PP is calculated. This is likely to keep changing with future updates also and seems to be something they are tweaking regularly. My advice would be to keep the downforce settings for wet conditions to improve the handling and reduce the PP by playing with the ECU output adjustment % and power restrictor %, you may need to purchase extra parts to do this to open up the slider options. Lastly you can also play with the balast kg but this will also affect the handling of the car so should only be done if the other two settings don't work for you.
Did you use the Ferrari for the second and third race?

I originally used a VW Scirocco R for the second and third races but yes I've rerun them with the Ferrari when testing this before recording and it should work using the normal settings sheet instead of the wet one. Just be aware the PP is calcualted differently now due to game updates so it might not be an exact match for you.
Cool video, but i can't drive with that POV, in fact i really don't like to watch that POV, i only play on 3° person or in 1° person! But i guess that everyone should play the way they feel good 👍 💯
I've tried the other views but I just can't get used to them, I've always used this view since the first gran turismo on the ps1 so I guess it's just ingrained into me now haha. Thanks for commenting :)
