I have always been a big fan of Martin Barre, having seen Tull many times over the last 40 years or so it’s a please to see and hear Martins band so precisely and accurately recreate the real Tull. Mr Anderson’s band doesn’t come anywhere near this and is quite embarrassing to sit through. Keep rocking Martin, superb job.
Yeah, it's sad that Ian is so difficult to work with and burned those bridges. Martin was the biggest part of the band. Now Ian knows, but it's too late. The only thing missing is the flute. 😞 On the other hand, we still have Martin, showing what can be done with an electric guitar.
@@PhillipLandmeier In my opinion the only thing that is really missing here is the hammond organ. It was such a big part of the sound of the 70s Tull, I don't know why Martin didn't want to include it in his band. Other than that minor disappointment, the Martin Barre Band is great!
@@PhillipLandmeier -- I remember Ian once saying if Tull was to remain a band, the line-up would at least have to include Martin. He said if for some reason Martin was no longer with the band, Tull would not continue. I guess he changed his mind.
Saw tull 3 times in my life. Incredible each time. Always watched martin play the hell out of his guitar. If not for him tull would have been just a flute concert.
Always loved Tull, and felt Martin was as essential to the band as Ian. Now that we no longer have Tull, I have to say that I much prefer Martin and his band to Ian and his band. There is no denying that Ian was a genius, but his voice is shot now, and without Martin, the band is a sad shadow of what it once was. Good to see Martin still rocking the music.
I would pay a hell of a lot more to see these guys than what tickets cost to see bands like crew, g&r ect. today, you can hear all instruments, and understand the singer, no distortion, spitting into the crowd or flipping everyone off, thanks for a quality show, can we see the rest sometime ?
Holy sjit, Martin can play the guitar. This is total command of the instrument that only a few ever achieve. (This is waaaay harder than it looks. Trust me on this. But a genius makes it look easy.) Jimmy Page is a fan of Martin Barre, if that tells you anything.
I love Martin Barre......it's great to see him out and having fun. I do think he could get a better band....but that's not dissing the guy's he has.....it's just when you were in one of the best bands in the world, it's hard for anyone to quite match up.
This is great - the four guys are full of energy. You could put them in the closet and it would still be powerful rock! I'm really glad that MB is still going strong (had the pleasure of watching his performance in Vienna when he turned 75!!!).

My all-time favorite guitarist, with Buck Dharma, Tony Iommi, and Ritchie Blackmore all a distant second. Martin says Ian hated that guitar part so they only did it on the Minstrel and Too Old To Rock And Roll tours. Too bad, Martin can really make that guitar bark at you.
Wow--Larry Babbin--blast from the past! I used to see you at the Tull conventions in the NE. We traded Tull VHS videos we shot. I gave you the video transfer of a super 8 of Minstrel when first played at Madison Square Garden that I took. Funny , but I was actually in New Hope for a short getaway that weekend, and didn't know Martin was there too! And you too. Great video, and nice that Martin recognized you behind the camera. Yes-- I agree about the time. Sadly I'm not a Facebook user. I've actually been a bit out of the Tull stream--I'm not really getting out to hear live music of late, but I would have certainly been in there to see Martin at New Hope. I need to keep my eyes open for tour dates--Martin remains my top guitar hero! Could you shoot me an email to close the loop? palopez123@gmail.com Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Holy. I know Martin Barre prefers PRS guitars these days, but that stage looks like a PRS commercial, haha. Hope Paul threw some advertising money their way!
I hope this joyful old man won´t be at the doors of another like Guilmour-Waters soap opera ... Its known that mr. A is not proud of this ... again singer slightly imitating him could get things a little worse. Really wish to be at this show if it´s re scheduled in Argentina, if such thing happens.

Martin Barre: great artist. Im 56 years old and I saw him when I was 15. Master.

@@oskarileikos - and the flute, and the new songs, and a decent singer with stage presence. A subpar tribute band at best.
This still sounds fresh as the day it was released……….good one Martin!👍
It's 2022 and Martin Barre totally rocks Tull music.
This was five years ago.
@@aliengrey6052 Yes. The point is it's still good the year I'm watching it.

🤣 YES TRUTH!!!
MARTIN BARRE ⚡🌟🌟🌟
cranking this song on 8track 45 years ago..He's still got it!
Martin is a very good guitarist, one of the best.
Wonderful.
This was one of my favorite bands growing up in the 70 rock scene. I smoked a few enjoying their music.

Yes my fav tull song - great job still love it too many decades
OH MARTIN. SO FANTASTIC AND SO UNDERRATED AS THE WHOLE BAND WAS
Love Martin Barre and that he built this band, playing just as brilliantly as JT once did!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
This is great! I love Martin Barre, of course, and the drummer is really good, surprisingly good.
Yep! 🙂
Excellent video and audio, nice camera work. Great stuff. Barre is brilliant and should certainly command bigger venues.
Thanks! He should for sure. I love when Martin waves to me during Steel Monkey LOL
Yeah, people don't know, and it's their loss.
I saw Martin in Kinross in 2017 best gig ever! Last time I saw him was with Tull in the seventies. One of my guitar heroes.
This is very enjoyable. Martin by all accounts is a very special human being.
He is!
Sir Martin Barre .Tone of Tull unmistakable sound
Namaste. Kickass rendition. The next time someone calls an Indian a bobblehead, do look at this vocalist. And he's super.
Martin Barre is so overlooked. Such a shame.

Frankly, I'm pretty pleased with the band Martin has put together. Finding a singer who sounds even vaguely like Ian Anderson is difficult.
@@PhillipLandmeier Not to mention hanging in there with Martin on guitar duets!
@@PhillipLandmeier Not vaguely….
The singer is shite. Get a good vocalist and this band would be a lot more listenable.
Ian disted Martin..just like many other great Musicians that played in Tull..especially the 69-71 line up.that was magic chemistry musically

Simply amazing
Yes it’s so rare Martin plays the solo on Minstrel
So Good ,so Damn good !! Thank ya
I think this rocks more than any of the inductees in the RRHOF this year.

Là souffle l'Esprit du Tull,.....et nul part ailleurs...... Martin still got the felling ! Good band
Fabulous.
Tull must suck without Martin!
Martin shows are better.
Brilliant xx
Sounds really good but I am a Jethro Tull fan 50 yrs running and I'll leave it at that.
Ian got old...Martin didn't..still shows some teeth and tone

Not bad, not bad at all.
Understatement of the year!
That's hilarious. Yeah, not bad at all. Bahahaha.
There could never have been a beter vocalist to stand in for Ian Anderson
Feally? How 'bout someone who can actually sing?
Tull has finished. A shadow from all including Anderson. And this band needs a flute player.😊
Martin’s upcoming tour promises a little flute…….Martin is a great flautist.
Why, yes, I want to go see one of the world’s greatest guitar players, and listen to a flute!! 🙄🙄🙄🙄

This guy definitely sounds considerably better than Ian Anderson these days…Ian’s voice is unfortunately gone now.
I wonder what Ian and Martin's relationship is like these days...is it OK with Ian that Martin is playing Ian's songs with a whole different group?
Lacks Barrimore Barlow's drive on the drums Ian's showmanship in front. If you have ever seen the real thing, this ain't it.
Ian doesn't have the voice anymore. So this is it.
I was there live in 75, that's nowhere near it.
This is Martin's band - it's not meant to be Tull.
