Good to see Creeper World being covered. I hopped on the train in CW3 and played through that, Particle Fleet Emergence which seems to be the inspiration for this game and CW4. I'm looking forward to IXE tomorrow but in the meantime I'd recommend the curious to check the games I listed!
it would actually be more appropriate to say that CW2 was the inspiration for this. CW2 was also a side view 2d CW game, but IXE seems to take a lot more of the new tech that has been introduved in the several later games and implement those new mechanics into a game in that older style
You are really on point with how addictive this game about "shooting evil purple water" is. This reimagining seems to have quite a bit of potential. I appreciate games that understand simple rule: spaceship+ground=orbital bombardment.
Ahh, love this series. The mechanics of the game have progressed over time, but if you enjoy it I have found it worthwhile to go back through the whole catalog. Each of them have something to love.
Have loved this series for many many years. Happy to hear you enjoyed your time with this one, excited for launch day tomorrow, I'll be picking it up then. I hope you get your wish to chill over Christmas playing this or something similar with a bunch of beers! 🍻
I like your channel overall, but on most reviews you should state what the goal of the game is and what the main gameplay loop is about. Oftentimes the review is over before I have enough information about the game. You're going too fast to specific aspects. Hope this helps

Get Particle Fleet Emergence.
Similar game, same developer.
Thank you for the review. Can you review "The Spirit of the Samurai" and "Bloodshed".
Seems similar, but tottaly different from CW2, which is in my opinion the worst one of the bunch... XD This seems better
Their a bit of particle fleet in it too.
