+Solaxe S I quit WoW in July of this year, after almost 11 years of it being out. I'd been playing since Vanilla, and let me tell you man, our WoW is long gone. That's why we're all so nostalgic. Take a good long look at what Warlords of Draenor is: Hyped up bullshit that ruined professions, made this game even more into a single player game, and completely shafted hardcore players in terms of gear/item levels. Panda's endgame heroic/mythic gear was literally the most overpowered and broken shit I've ever seen before, and then Blizzard decides that in order to balance that out, we'll just shrink the stats and compress everything by 15 ilvls. I left because this game went to utter shit for us oldies. Yes, there's a difference between gear that's ilvl 720 and mythic ilvl gear, but not in stats, not anymore. People don't respect the struggle that used to be getting something EPIC. That's why we're all so fucking nostalgic. As much fun as I've had with WoW, it really went to shit for us that were the elite in 2004-2007. Our effort doesn't mean shit in the stats anymore. Gear isn't unique, and the claiming you ran something hard doesn't mean jack fucking shit to anyone anymore.
With the Legion cinematic out a few weeks ago, those who have stuck with WoW since the beginning are going to be the most rewarded. They are the ones who didn't take things for granted, and were patient with Blizzard. There's been far too much harm caused by Blizzard for me to go back, but seeing players finally be able to wield the Ashbringer and other artifacts is both heart wrenching and frustrating. BC will always be my favorite expansion because it was an extended and improved Vanilla. You still couldn't afford to not grind and work your ass off to have the full game experience. Wraith will always be the highest rated expansion because Blizzard finally gave everyone the convenience of easier opportunities to become something great. Back here after listening to the BfA one. They just haven't been able to get the soundtrack this good again. The BC intro is a perfect balance of hard-hitting opening, wistful fantasy, and epic (in the true sense of the word) conclusion without being over the top in any place.
This is the most perfect description I've ever read. The music absolutely matters in the experience as a whole. And even if you dont understand about music, this one gives a sense of everything you described.
Had so many more friends in BC, trade chat was always alive, conversations always happening in trade too, BC was my favorite expansion and I miss all the friends and countless hours I spent with them.
Still iconic. I used to just sit and listen to the log in screen I loved the music as a wee lass. Just got flashbacks to the starting intro for blood elves and being stuck on the first frame.

Ahhh... level 27 in Duskwood, wielding Archeus in my hands, staring into the bridge let led into STV.. Oh the days of a pvp server when you couldn't make both Horde and Alliance on the same pvp server. Gank vale.
I always called it Stranglethorn Nam.
Oh dear, this music is making me remember the times where you truly needed to work for your things and when people asked in General LFG instead of doing a solo Random queue, Old WoW brought people to work together T_T
3:05 You're welcome.
+orangesheepdog I REALLY think you have to go from 2:54... The buildup is friggin awesome! :D
lol worst part
its modified music from Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon, you can hear it at the begining when you fly on dragon
The BC Expansion in my opinion was the best. Had the coolest armor, best questing zones, awesome designs, and terrific characters. Well done Blizzard for making BC
C:
I totally agree, i don't know why everyone's prefered expansion is Wotlk, for me, best expanison will always be TBC because of its atmosphere, the outland's zones are the bestin the whole game, oh and there's also legion, which has similar vibes too
Started playing during TBC , still the best expansion ever , best music , everything was better back then.
TBC was just as good as vanilla (i.e. fun but boring) but the music was awesome.
try legion, they redeemed themselves with legion, its actually pretty good, but still with newer content aswell.
Yeah, Matt Uelmen is one of my favourite composers. D2 and TBC ftw.
It's better than WoD but still meh. Not sure for how long It will keep me up to play.
BC Was truly a golden era of WoW no doubt, however, the music from Wrath was breathtaking...
You said it perfectly, I was 12 (I think) when this was released, and I remember stepping through the dark portal for the first time like it was yesterday. Dem memories...
We missed you, Outland.
But now we're coming back.
*NOVEMBER 13TH*
FrozenxDeath Hehe, we truly are....
Little did we know...
fuck i wish we didnt lmao
Never again...
Oh the memories, I got goosebumps instantly
I hope Warlords of Darenor log in screen will be at the dark portal but different version of it.
Would be too awesome man, just too awesome. It would be a big mistake not to do that..
Must be!
+kaplishk I saw the login screen... your right
We are literally going through the dark portal gain. They would be dumb not to
You were right ;)
OMG they are back! All the memories are coming back!
The itch is coming back…
TODAY IS THE DAY BLIZZCON! READY TO STEP THROUGH THE DARK PORTAL AGAIN AND WASTE ANOTHER SUMMER!
1:40 OMFG i fcking lost it cryed like a little baby! ;(
i know this song all to well
God bless you wherever you are WoWMusicGuru
The Burning Legion..... has returned !!!
+Kil'jaeden Ready to get your demonic asses kicked for the third time in a row on Azeroth?
Phenomenal music …. Incredible nostalgic feelings
1:15 music break for belves :D
i could never relive these memories, the first time exploring new places between vanilla and BC cant be replaced, and even if they did bring it back im older now; too busy for WoW i had all the time to enjoy it wen i was 14-16
Back here after listening to the BfA one.
-sniffle- I remember this music...making my first toon ever...being a total noob...Gotta say. I miss it.
wow dude … i was litteraly 8 years old and i'm now 21
TBC Classic let's goooo
nostalgia...nostalgia...NOSTALGIA :c
I started playing this game on october 2006 (vanila) And then came TBC jan/feb 2007. Wow! What a gem it was.
You Are Not Prepared!
Peak World of Warcraft.
I like this version the most. It has a LoTR feel to it
DeepSpaceNinja I would say the same for WoD's "orc march" theme.
Had so many more friends in BC, trade chat was always alive, conversations always happening in trade too, BC was my favorite expansion and I miss all the friends and countless hours I spent with them.
3:04 chills down my spine every time i hear this
Same
it's modified "Old Hillsbrad Foothills" music
Thank you Blizzard for all the good times and great memories
24 people don't know what the best expansion is!
Damn this game was so fucking fun to play with friends.
2021 is our year boys
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.
Now, we are prepared!
Haha, nope, you are NOT prepared! =P
damn, everytime i hear this music it blows my mind away. I can recall every detail of my raids and bgs when hearing this song
2:30 .......wow, the feelings
RECKONING IS AT HAND
i love this music
yeah
Still iconic. I used to just sit and listen to the log in screen I loved the music as a wee lass. Just got flashbacks to the starting intro for blood elves and being stuck on the first frame.
By far the best WoW login theme ever. My second favorite theme would be Vanilla of course :)
I literally bought a new computer, monitor, chair, desk, mouse /keyboard, pad and kick ass speakers just for this expansion release.
I put the speakers up all the way and when I first loaded this up I was literally in awe for 10 mins just staring at the screen with goose bumps.
...the good ol days. Games dont excite me anymore.
Classic TBC ?
CLASSIC TBC, GET READY BRO!!
I might play for a little for nostalgia's sake but I quit classic before I hit 60. Been there done that, ya know?
@@mastershake8018 Good job, unfortunately im a little late WoW player so it's time to camp as fuck this expansion! been on classic since day 1.
When I started to play :')
