Mortarion just keeps eating the dirt lately, first he got ultra instinct'd by guilliman possesed by the emperor, and now this, papa nurgle is gonna ground him.
Eating dirt is a very Nurgle thing to do soooooo maybe not bad?
This was an awesome series. It was truly enjoyable watch, enhanced greatly by your own enjoyment. The golf club of justice helped, and there was significant satisfaction in seeing Iolanthus pancake so many plague marines.
Dang, vakir even though only a spirit in Mortarion still fought on, she deserves the deepest respect

Honestly I really like that the end of the campaign was essentially one cutscene honoring Vakir. Credit where it is due, and onward with duty beyond. Very 40k, very Grey Knights, to the point, simple, efficient. Some long overly glorifying or flowery string of cutscenes would have been a very strange tonal shift to close out with. The cliffhanger post credit sequence was equally well done I thought. A stark reminder that Chaos is ever cunning, ever planning, and can afford to wait for more corpses. For as we all know well, in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
And to twist the knife further one day we very well might encounter Vakir in some horrible form yet again (remember we have no idea what happened to her mortal body), and have to put down the one who gave everything in service to the Imperium.

I like how it shows that _Kadex_ basically outplayed everyone.
I wish they will make Daemonhunters into a series fighting every single Chaos God. Khorne should be next.
Nah, they fought a bloodthirster in the tutorial. Give Slaneesh some love, or good old Tzeench.

this game feels like a foundation so many things can build on and be expanded upon Dlc mods what one could think i feel this game could do exteremely well
They would be fools to not make mod making available. XCOM 2 is still going because of mods.
Hopefully there will be mods to see the other chaos gods

I can't help but feel a little pity for the poor dudes who 'fought' their way in only to be met by an Iolanthus with a giant hammer.

I can't tell you how many times I was yelling at the screen for you to use teleport on your other characters (librarian and Draigo) besides the interceptor teleporting tunnel vision...all good though, good fight. After I beat standard difficulty I went straight into a legendary campaign. I really am obsessed with this game at the moment!
I went way to unprepared to this fight on normal, got to try easy first, coz im stuck... -_-'

If I am not mistaken, the roots in your final battle were activated in the same order you defeated the four reapers connected to them. If this is the case, then this is a very interesting game design; the player can affect how the final battle unfolds by targetting reapers in a specific order in the main campaign.
when you select mortarion theres actually a coloured line that shows which root is next
Whenever they come out with the next Warhammer game like this one, I hope they at some point do it focused on The Deathwatch chapter
there was a deathwatch mobile game similler to this one, it sucked tho :(
Honestly would of made more sense to me for XCOM style combat since their entire shtick is being tactical with small squads. Only real problem is dealing with the metric crapton of different names and abilities each Marine will have since the other shtick of DW is getting members from every chapter.

I think an Eldar (Aeldari now?) one would actually be pretty badass. Aspect Warriors and some of the other units seem like they would lend themselves to a lot of different classes with distinct abilities and equipment, and having relatively more nimble but fragile units for most guys might suit a lot of the cover based aspects of combat well.
@@Warmagon Yeah but unfortunately Eldar (I refuse to call the Aldari :p) doesn't have the same popularity and brand recognition as space marines do so it would be a bigger risk to make a game focused on them.

Mortarion was showing you where he'd go next each time you killed a root. There was always a line linking him.

2:02:00 Everyone clumped around the other portal so there was no space for them to get through.
A good tactic for a playthrough seems to be to hang around in the first stage of the game when the map's small and upgrade the ship speed to full, and hold on to any prognosticars for when the other systems open up. What do you think?

The post credit scene was not surprising but made not much sense as Vakir's soul was supposedly eaten by Mortarion. So what her soul was split? Yes I agree I expect a DLC where Vakir will likely appear as a Chaos warped servant to be saved?
I must admit I was expecting the last guardian of the Bloom to appear but you only ever get to see four of the five which I found very strange. Possibly for the next DLC where which ever one you didn't defeat will return?

I think it's more of a replayabiliy design decision : on each run, you face 3 of the bosses in normal conditions + 1 without access to Stratagems

Hey Janet, dont know if you spot this among all the messages but i had this idea for you. Now that you done your first playthrough of daemonhunters theres another great turn based game out there called ”warhammer 40000 mechanicus” i think you would appreciate and i including others would probably have a blast watching you giving that game a shot 🙂
Basic knockback grenades are ideal to clear the packs of plague marines spawning next to the crevasses...
I got a feeling there's at least 4 free AP to be gained from warp charged honor the chapter for executing all those enemies. But, then It wouldn't have matter much anyways. Thanks for the gameplay.
Amazing game I can't wait in a few years for the moders to make hombrew chapters, and their own smaller, or bigger campaigns but the story was great

Well, it's more streamlined than XCOM.
Only bad part about this campaign is that we never got an chance to declare Exterminatus, but it was an entertaining campaign, at any rate.
Weird. I didn't get that post credit ending with Kadex. Poor Vakir, suffering the same fate as Iszha. But at least Draigo now has a merry old band travelling with him in the warp. Maybe they'll end up being Draigo juniors if any of them survive and manage to get out of the warp.

At the end (after credit scene) I would've been rather happy if we had seen Ahriman or Magnus happy about Mortarions failure. I really want a Tzeentch/Thousand Sons DLC!
Loved this series, and I love the game. Really tempted buying it myself even if I'm not a gamer at all. And you have great voice and humour for the narrating, pleasure to watch and listen.
I watched the whole campaing in just couple of weeks. What am I going to do with all this free time now? =D

Thank you for the effort to put this out so quickly. It was truly enjoyable. Now I need to figure out if my aging gpu could handle this game... I want to try all kinds of nonsense, like no ranged attacks or power armor only; perhaps a group of 'medics' also?

There should a mission where you use 8 Grey Knights and kaldor and kill as many demons till they die or until kaldor retreat
There is war gear which gives +3 ammo. I accidentally assigned the 1 ammo gun without noticing and boy was it rough
Just realised you took storm's bolter for someone else so he did this battle with the basic bolter

Well... Diablo games makes u kill DIABLO IN HELL so... not so crazy this one. Now if u were to beat Nurgle itself, THAT would be nuts xD
It could have been worse. It might have been Draigo and four Ultramarines. At which point, the Ultramarines would have gone up to Nurgle and killed the shit out of him. Because they are Ultramarines.
