A well designed and well made knife does not need a spring assist to be able to snap it open reliably if the detent is done right. This is especially true for knives running on bronze washers or bearings. Even something on nylon washers like the Zilch can be flickable. Some terminology to help you... Liner lock not inside lock. In this instance its a nail nick not a fuller. A fuller is usually longer and done for weight reduction. FRN = fiberglass reinforced nylon or GRN = glass reinforced nylon. Thumbstud not peg.
