Helpful hint. When removing the steering wheel, before doing the yanking in all directions, make sure you put the nut back on a few threads to prevent damaging the airbag wiring or your face!
That's exactly what I needed. I want to put another power outlet in the dash. The perfect spot is centered to the right of the of the climate control cluster. By the way, that radio has a cell phone connector on the back. You need to install a mini headphone jack and a latching push button to short a couple pins together to put the radio into call mode. I believe there is a microphone next to the map reader lights. You may want to grab that cluster as well with the wiring harness. There is a separate amplifier also.
If you are replacing the bigger bulbs on the cluster, no problemo. If you are trying to replace the smaller ones, you will likely run into compatibility issues. It seems the OEM or older design used then (on my 2003 outback) for those smaller bulbs had the plastic mount fixture on that was ever so slightly thinner then what they make today for the same aftermarket bulb. You could force the new aftermarket bulbs into the socket, but that may become a problem again later. As for most of the lighting, I do believe it comes out of the bigger bulbs in the cluster anyway, so I wouldn't feel the need to replace the smaller ones even if you want to be thorough.
bro you are a legend with the camera! everything is so easy to see. thank you!

I am not sure what the form factor of that cell connection is.
Well shit, thanks lol been stuck for a while now
Bro that radio !!!!!!
Very useful thank you.
Thanks, this video is very useful.
Can the clear face be removed to clean debris (from the Time and trip meter use) on the front of the dash?
Does touching both battery terminals ground it all and takeaway any discharge
Only if u use your tongue
Are you still h6 swapping the baja? Looked on your videos but didn't see anything
Q: Does this McIntosh audio have a way to install a 3.5mm Aux???? Is there a connector on the back (RCA) or anything that can be used to add an Aux???
Q: You removed the cluster panel (RPM/Speed). My LED is out on the speed gauge (so I can't see my speed at night :) ). Can this LED be replaced?
It's an incandescent light bulb and it can be swapped out. Pull your cluster, remove the bulb, go to your local dealer & get the bulb.
