I learned something... I learned that I don't want to fool with trying to clean money! I think it was an amazing improvement and I suspect that you would have enjoyed having even more time to play with getting it to perfection, but life seems to always get in the way.
Yeah you are exactly right! I bothers me that I can’t spend another week on it but I have to make those hard choices sometimes. The toughest thing is stopping once you start!
Hey Rick, Watched you do a couple steps in Photoshop that I thought you'd like a couple tips on. When making a selection you can hit "q". Then use the paintbrush/pencil to select the areas. You can use your lasso before "q" and then to "q" (quickmask) to clean it up with the tools. It is flexible as you can go back and forth between the two.\. When you change the image size there are various was to do it. You can retain the resolution of the image be turning off "resample". You can also define how you rise an image Bicubic to nearest neighbor. Then onto your paths.
Alright, your sense of humor is only a scoochie scooch exceeded by your decency. Thanks for the lesson. "it could have been a lot more boring" made me lol. Really great result without h2o2. Nice laser.
Thanks Buck! I’m chagrined by your kindness! I was hoping you’d notice both my “your subtext here” placeholder in the intro and my “step 1 million” later jn the video, lol!
Would like to see a graded bill cleaned and resubmitted. I never really had any bills worth grading, but I know that a coin's value was trashed if it was determined that it was cleaned.
Well, that was interesting. What was the reason for not washing the whole thing? The intitial Immacu. clean seem to remove some of the stains. Just curious your reasoning behind that decision...
Well thats a *great* question! Answered a similar question below but here it goes... The answer is more pragmatic and less technical. I just don't have a functioning washing machine that I am happy with right now. I am on version 9 of a new washing machine. This one is portable and inexpensive. and interestingly is can also be easily converted into a UV light box, an ozone chamber, and a humidity chamber with much reuse of the same components. Its pretty cool but it is consuming a lot of time and money in development. I'm hoping to have at least the washing and UV light box parts working and for sale by mid June!
Great video again. I may have missed it in the video (during a nap with how boring it was! … just kidding), but was there a reason you hesitate to just wash it? When I saw the initial results of the immacuclean I thought for sure it was going into your comic bath.
Well that’s is such an awesome question . And the reason is a practical and not a technical one. that my washing machine has been completely dismantled. I’m on version five of a new washing mashing that’s portable, inexpensive (relatively) and also can turn into a UV chamber , humidity chamber, and and ozone chamber.!
Laundering dirty money! Hmm. lol
Great walk through on a whole new side of cleaning. Thanks for the new knowledge 👍
Great video.... Amazing process. Way more complicated than I thought. Great results.
Glad you enjoyed it, lasting memories for sure. I suspect the previous owners of that note never imagined this video!
Fantastic job on this. Appreciate how you walk us through everything...
You’re welcome and thanks for the kind words!!

for me the hardest part is knowing when to stop!

Honestly until I didn't even know it was something that people did, but I guess now I am one of the people that are doing it!
Somebody probably bought a model t with that thing after checking the oil with his bare hands.
