This is the best guitar strumming lesson I have come across as an adult beginner of guitar playing. It would have been fantastic if the video demonstrated one sinhalaese somg that can be played with each of the strumming patterns shown in the video.

I normally play Christian worship music on a Yamaha APH1200 acoustic guitar as a rhythm guitarist. I love to play Sri Lankan music and your video has been very helpful. Could I please make a suggestion. It would be great if you could post 1 Sinhalese song for each rhythm pattern to get the feel of the pattern. This is the first proper video tutorial I have seen someone explains all key signatures. Your understanding of music theory is excellent. Please have a think about this for the future. I love to play our own music from Sri Lanka though living in the UK for the last nearly 20 years. Please respond. God bless.

Thank you so much ...you teach so simplistic way i can easily understand. Please maintain that simplicity. Can you design and conduct some basic..most basic lessons for children and make them attractive for music for sri lankan children because here music is just a bid business not art. You can serve sri lanka through that way because music tuitions not
affordable for poor children as u know. I hope you can study how can any child can grasp most basic beats. I hope to make more suggestions.
1. You can study the children's way grasping rhythms
2. You can attract children by singing simple sinhala children songs and explain how play it
3.also you have to use simple language understandable to any child
4.and you have to design your own subtle and unique set of lesson set in small modules with attractive beat patterns suitable for all the children
5.and why i am telling this is when i listen to you playing the way you present you are the most suitable person
6.and consider this as community work for children of sri lanka
7.my two daughters are waiting for it and we actively help you by comments when things proceeds what are the practical difficulties child face in learning process
8. You have to explain from beginning such as what is the best guitar sizes for children. how to avoid pain while playing ect..
9. Sometimes you can choose few children without prior guitar playing skill and show us by make them good guitar player so our children can sync with you but i dont know how practical it for you.
We will buy a guitar accordingly
You are a good resources for the country and in this way you can create thousands of guitar buds with basic skills and they will grow up as musicians while thanking you for ever.

I would like to share something with you that tought me to play the guitar as I am self learned through TH-cam videos. A guy who inspired me is someone called Brian Wahl from the USA. He posts videos under Worship Tutorials on TH-cam. His model would not suit you as he carters to a different market. But you could get an idea. He became very popular in a few years. He has a song video and a acompaniyng tutorial separately. I am just sharing some thoughts with you. You could may be think of having one video by teaching the strumming pattern followed by the song where the chords appear while you play on the top. I found it very easy to pickup through theses videos. But explanation of the strumming patterns by you are even better. You are a talented teacher. I will share your videos with friends in Sri Lanka and all over the world. Best of luck.
