That's a $10 airsoft optic, so I'm not surprised that it fell apart on a shotgun. It probably wouldn't stand up in the rain, these types are known for failing. Solid review of the shotgun!
I heard that my friend. I have not had good luck with these type of reflex sites, especially on shotguns or high powered rifles. Someone didn’t do there homework. 🤠 I have reported this issue to the company. I understand they’re going to replace it most likely with something else cause this is definitely not going to work. Tried it out today. Shot flawless through maybe 50 rounds of #7 and 00 Buck. I expected more recoil and was very surprised. It shoulders perfect. Your vid sealed the deal for me.

Kel-Tec builds plasticky, toy-like JUNK! HOWEVER' they are responsive to fixing it. I worry about if you needed service' how would Hatsan be? I'm thinking I'd rather spend a tiny bit more and buy a conventional 410 pump from say Rock Island Armory or find a used Mossberg 500 410 in a pawn shop. Too bad RIA doesn't make their mag fed 14 inch NFA mag feds in 410. Or Mossberg in their 18 inch Mavericks.
@robertkeller9828 just an update. I have now fired hundreds of rounds through my KS7 and have had zero hiccups and misfeeeds. In that same amount of time I've had x2 misfeeds on my trusty remington 870P. I was worried the KS7 would be unreliable because it was spitting out snap caps. But all is well.
Nice review. Im really intrigued by this one. I've wanted to pick up a BP shotty but most are semi-autos that are picky with the loads you can shoot, problem solved with the pump.

I have that same one and it's a lot of fun and a great shotgun for the price. Only downside is when you have to field strip it to clean it. it's a multi step process along with punching out 2 push pins that will weaken over time from constantly removing pins. Other than that it's a fun shotgun and I enjoy it.

I actually buggered up both of my pins on takedown. Solution was to drill the "legs" on the carrier to a slightly larger size and bought a 100 pack of cotter pins. Slide through, bend over and clip short. When I break it down again I will just pull those and stick two new ones in. Also debating on welding a nut to the carrier and using four button head bolts through the handguard. A little lock tite should keep them from loosening.

I saw these in my newest Sportsman's Guide magazine and they make them in 20 and.410 also and even in semi auto. The pump versions are sub 200 bucks and the semi autos are like $250
I wouldn’t worry a bit about the optic, I imagine, for the price, they included the least expensive model. The shotgun appeared to work well. Does it bother you that the detonation is right by your head? So far that is what has kept me bullpupless.
Actually, I have thought about this from time to time. I have several bullpup shotguns. And having heard of any issues. But it does put a nasty thought in your head that it could happen. And if it did, you probably wouldn’t be a happy camper.😂😂😂. 👍👍👍👍

Had another question about this: does the carry handle come off? If so, any chance you could do a video? Palmetto has them on sale and thinking about getting it but wondered about the handle
From my understanding the handle can be taken off like the ks7. The semi auto version of this comes with the handle or a long pic rail like the ksg so I would imagine you can add that pic rail to this. Just ordered mine😁👍🏽

My wife is also left handed. And she really doesn’t have a problem other than she wish they had a option for left-handed shooters And I have also tried it left handed. The only thing I really noticed. A empty cartridge would hit you every now and then. It would be nice if you could give one a try before you purchase one. But if you happen to pick one up. Lmbo, I have that very optic I've been wanting to mount on a 12 g, but after seeing this video, I'm glad I was never able to mount it. I walked in the toy store today looking to spend around $300 for a pistol or 12 g, but by the grace of the universe they had an escort bullpup for $209. I've already put 25 rds through with no problems, other than that sad moment when nothings left in the chamber.

I almost went for one of these because of the low price. But I ultimately bit the bullet and opted for the Keltec KS7. Mainly because it can use the 1 3/4 inch "shorty" shells reliably. Not all shotguns can.

The only problem I have with these is that there is no "Parts Support", if it breaks it goes in the junk box. I sold many of the "Escort" brand because they were cheap and people asked for them but I never bought one. I was always more worried about Semiauto's breaking down than I was about the pump actions.@@TheWalkWithAl

It’s a pretty decent optic. And works pretty well on shotguns. The problem you having might be to a defect and the optic. And I’m sure they would replace it. Actually, the first run of these came with an optic. But it was defected, so they discontinued the option of the optic because when I bought this one on the box it said optic included so go figure. My wife is actually left, handed and has no issues shooting this little shotgun. I do wish they would make them in left and right handed or at least set up to throw the empty cartridges forward instead of out to the side and with the option to switch the safety and slide release to left or right. I have the KSG in .410, if the .410 version of this is almost as good then i highly recommend for women and smaller people, no recoil at all with .410

Slide through, bend over and clip short. When I break it down again I will just pull those and stick two new ones in. Also debating on welding a nut to the carrier and using four button head bolts through the handguard. A little lock tite should keep them from loosening.
The newest version have a keeper cover for the pins that keeps them from backing out.
It looks like a Sci-fi or futuristic gun. I like it 👌

i saw these today advertised on Buds , the come in .410, 20ga and 12 ga i'm think one in 12 ga would be awesome and they are around $240. that's not bad . Cool review i always like to see others test before i buy .

I saw these in my newest Sportsman's Guide magazine and they make them in 20 and.410 also and even in semi auto. The pump versions are sub 200 bucks and the semi autos are like $250
I wouldn’t worry a bit about the optic, I imagine, for the price, they included the least expensive model. The shotgun appeared to work well. Does it bother you that the detonation is right by your head? So far that is what has kept me bullpupless.
Actually, I have thought about this from time to time. I have several bullpup shotguns. And having heard of any issues. But it does put a nasty thought in your head that it could happen. And if it did, you probably wouldn’t be a happy camper.😂😂😂. 👍👍👍👍

Had another question about this: does the carry handle come off? If so, any chance you could do a video? Palmetto has them on sale and thinking about getting it but wondered about the handle
From my understanding the handle can be taken off like the ks7. The semi auto version of this comes with the handle or a long pic rail like the ksg so I would imagine you can add that pic rail to this. Just ordered mine😁👍🏽

I have my eye on this one, just not sure how it would fare with a left handed shooter like myself.
My wife is also left handed. And she really doesn’t have a problem other than she wish they had a option for left-handed shooters And I have also tried it left handed. The only thing I really noticed. A empty cartridge would hit you every now and then. It would be nice if you could give one a try before you purchase one. But if you happen to pick one up. Lmbo, I have that very optic I've been wanting to mount on a 12 g, but after seeing this video, I'm glad I was never able to mount it.
I walked in the toy store today looking to spend around $300 for a pistol or 12 g, but by the grace of the universe they had an escort bullpup for $209.
I've already put 25 rds through with no problems, other than that sad moment when nothings left in the chamber.

I almost went for one of these because of the low price. But I ultimately bit the bullet and opted for the Keltec KS7. Mainly because it can use the 1 3/4 inch "shorty" shells reliably. Not all shotguns can.

I’m left handed and have no issue using this pump action version. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with the SA version.

The only problem I have with these is that there is no "Parts Support", if it breaks it goes in the junk box. I sold many of the "Escort" brand because they were cheap and people asked for them but I never bought one. I was always more worried about Semiauto's breaking down than I was about the pump actions.@@TheWalkWithAl

I had same issue with a cv life one of same red dot on a 12 g single shot. But the other 2 i have same red dot have been fine weird
I heard that my friend. Are used the Tasco pro. For shotguns. This seems to work really well. I have been using these for over 15 years. With no issues. But usually the CVlife. It’s a pretty decent optic. And works pretty well on shotguns. The problem you having might be to a defect and the optic. And I’m sure they would replace it. I actually already replaced the optic with a different one. I think. Maybe at the factory, they got the caps mixed up. Call that one is just way too small. I’ll be doing a follow up video of this one soon. But they are no longer providing this optic. With this model. So they must’ve had a lot of problems. And they still haven’t replaced it yet still waiting but I was assured they would replace it but I’ve got to say it one of the smoothest pump, action shotgun I own. It doesn't come with an optic at the moment unless some mom and pop shop throws one in.
Actually, the first run of these came with an optic. But it was defected, so they discontinued the option of the optic because when I bought this one on the box it said optic included so go figure. My wife is actually left, handed and has no issues shooting this little shotgun. I do wish they would make them in left and right handed or at least set up to throw the empty cartridges forward instead of out to the side and with the option to switch the safety and slide release to left or right.
