    I read through the instructions for both the 4500 and the 8510. One of your comments says to apply the 4500, wait 7 days, and then apply the 8510. Where in the instructions does it mention the waiting period that you mentioned?

      @GhostshieldConcreteSealers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is correct you apply the Lithi-Tek 4500 and 5-7 days later you can apply the Siloxa-Tek 8510.

      @@GhostshieldConcreteSealers thank you for the reply! I put the 4500 in last weekend and will put in the 8510 this weekend. Can you tell me where in the instructions for either product that this procedure is called out?

    1) can I use this on brick driveways?
    2) for larger scale protects do I need to mix with water 4:1 ratio or do I apply directly?

      1. Yes, the Siloxa-Tek 8510 can be used on brick driveways. 2. The Siloxa-Tek 8510 is never mixed with water. It is applied directly (ready to use).

    How is it your solvent based sealer can be in a plastic container when most others require a metal container?

    • @GhostshieldConcreteSealers

      The type of solvents used in this product are not corrosive to plastic.

      @@GhostshieldConcreteSealers If there more “corrosive” does it make it a better product? Are yours xylene based?

      @@webcrawler3332The Siloxa-Tek 8510 is a different chemistry and provides different performance and benefits than xylene based acrylic products. There is no xylene in the Siloxa-Tek 8510.

      @@GhostshieldConcreteSealers Can I use your product over the top of a product that is made from a xylene type sealer like Eagle Supreme Seal or Surfkoat DecoGuard plus High gloss?

    • @GhostshieldConcreteSealers
      @GhostshieldConcreteSealers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@webcrawler3332 The Siloxa-Tek 8510 needs to be applied to concrete that has never been sealed (or concrete in which a previous sealer has been completely removed). Since it is a penetrating sealer it will be ineffective and unable to penetrate a previous sealer or coating.

    Will this protect concrete in the winter ? I live in Canada where it gets -20 to -40

    • @GhostshieldConcreteSealers
      @GhostshieldConcreteSealers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Siloxa-Tek 8510 is an excellent option to seal concrete that will be exposed to deicing salts. Use the Lithi-Tek 4500 product first as a primer followed by the Siloxa-Tek 8510 7 days later.

    What is the difference between 8505 besides the fact that is solvent based?

    • @GhostshieldConcreteSealers
      @GhostshieldConcreteSealers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Siloxa-Tek 8510 is solvent-based and has 98% active ingredients. Siloxa-Tek 8505 is water-based and has 40% active ingredients. Both products protection against same harmful substances (water, salts, & oils).

      @@donschlonski2936 ones solvent ones water based. Just like automotive paint. There’s solvent and water base. Water base isn’t flammable. Doesn’t mean solvent will catch on fire if you throw a cig on it. Solvent is often used in construction etc..
