    Thank you so much for this! Lately I've found myself not wanting to rely on someone external to 'fix' me. I want to have the tools and knowledge to gain strength and mobility, and resolve my back issues myself - which is what led me to Dr Jen's program in the first place.

    I'm on day 2 of my Dr Jen journey. Having just realised mobility is something I'm super interested in exploring, specifically in the context of improving my Muay Thai and countering the negative effects of a desk job. Seriously considering Optimal Body..

      Aw thanks for following along so far. YES! Truly I pour everything into that program! There is so much more to learn and keep exploring in there! docjenfit.com/theoptimalbody

      @@melgm002 I didn't end up commiting to Optimal Body yet - I felt (at that time) my routine was too erratic to make the most of it. It's more a matter of when than if for me ; can still see great potential value in it. Lemme know how you go 👊

    Uneven hips is usually/always an indication of scoliosis. Exercises for scoliosis address the hip unevenness & the spinal pain that goes with the scoliosis.

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Be careful with definitives! Every body is unique and can be effected in different ways for different reasons. Addressing the body as a whole is always key, from the feet all the way up to the spine!

    My chiropractor must be one of the good ones 🙂 (I already knew he was lol). He agrees with all that they said. I'm paraplegic and I've sat in a bad wheelchair for 2 years and got a bit twisted. Xrays didn't show anything 🙄. Chiropractor was the only one who actually believed that something was wrong and, like they said, xrays take static pictureswhile laying down. It would be better to have a moving picture. I get more relief when he stretched and applies pressure to certain areas. He always changes things up to match my needs. And he ALWAYS listens to me.

    I have seen a chiropractor regularly for the last 30 yrs and now I’m ready to figure it out myself and I am shocked how resistant the chiropractor is to helping me help myself. Ive always had a “rotated hip” or problem with the SI joint but now the muscle or tendon inside the outside of knee hurts when I walk or certain way I bend the kneee. Is this coming from hip or from fallen arch? I started Pilates stretch class and am getting psoas hip specific massage for the tight muscles plus stretching at home but it isn’t helping my knee. I am so frustrated...

      Chiro resistant to patients self-help, this sounds familiar.

      Definitely find that path that will help you make some progress on your own! It can be tough when we just work with people who want us to be reliant on them. We have a great hip program in Jen Health that could give you ideas on how to continue to work on your own! Start with a free week trial at Jen.health/freetiral

    The simple concept that humans are asymmetrical is the real reason when it comes to some leg length discrepancy and it doesn’t usually create problems unless it’s .75” difference.
