I am a student at Jacksonville State, unfortunately the school pretends to be more broke than a high school so we won't be able to do the dorms that were shown. I feel like that would have been the best upgrade, and what they're doing is not as nice but it is still very nice. On the bleachers that are not connected, they are putting outdoor suites similar to Mississippi State I believe, and new handicap seating. In the end zone they're doing a new football operations building which will have suites, club area, and all of the football activities that you would expect in a modern football operations building. I believe they are doing our stadium renovations in phases, and from what I've heard from people in the athletic department, the next phase will include a new field, LED lights, an indoor practice facility, and possibly a new video board! Also they are building a new 550 bed dorm nearby, and a new dining facility for all students. In the near future, beyond what I said for sports, they are planning on building an indoor practice facility for our band, a 700 bed dorm for upperclassmen near our baseball stadium, and a public safety complex. They are also in the process of building a new building for our theater department since a famous country singer went to Jacksonville State and is paying for it.
I'm so glad I got your perspective as a current student. Seems like overall JSU has been growing a lot recently. I did ad that they are no longer doing that $80 mil renovation unfortunately. Thanks for the comment!

Sam Houston's track is now gone, new 60 million press box coming soon and will eventually close in the bowl to a horseshoe, thus adding seats. #EatEmUpKats

the pictures of liberty's Williams stadium are about a year out of date, both decks of the west side of the stadium have been converted entirely into full red chairback seating.
the image at 5:56 is a few years old, that endzone building (the football operations center) is about twice as big now, and, as you mentioned, the scoreboard is too.

I love how Western Kentucky has a parking garage between their football and basketball facilities. I saw that in person a while ago, and did a video on my channel about it. The weird thing is that a week after I did the video; Oklahoma State hired W.Kentucky's basketball coach.
New Mexico State is getting some stadium renovations/upgrades so you might want to comeback to them or Conference USA after a bit. 😁

Also it’s a great stadium. Liberty’s football fan base is growing and growing. I managed to catch a game there when Liberty has Malik Willis (who is Will Levis backup for the Tennessee Titans). The crowd when it gets loud is awesome.
The best time to catch a game if you haven’t been there is mostly in the afternoon cause if you sit on that side where the luxury boxes are you get the view of the game and the Blue Ridge mountains on your right.
Oh yeah that sounds like a nice time to catch a game there. I’m sure I’ll make my way down eventually, I had a cousin who went there. Probably a 7-8 hour drive though unfortunately

Also to give you a heads up if you do manage to catch a game there is a LU logo outside of the entrance where you can take a picture with and that grassy area is also a great way to watch the game. Specially if it’s a full house you get pics of both stands.

I used to think the M on the side of the mountain outside the Sun Bowl stood for Mexico, but it actually stands for Miners. But the stadium is only about 1/2 mile from the border.

I , played at Johnny red Floyd university stadium while in highschool during state playoffs.
It was cool playing in front of 22,000.

Not going through with dorm’s unfortunately due to cost
teams like utep,and new mexico state, have been long down programs. utep host the sunbowl every year,one of the more entertaining minor bowls,and is usually packed for that game.
I would’ve used a picture of the SunBowl when it’s hosting its bowl game but, I like showing the field set up for UTEP and the fans in UTEP gear as well
When MTSU became a Division 1 team, the requirement was a 35,000 seat stadium. It may have been 30k. They were forced to build an oversized stadium that they did not need.
Makes sense that some of the seating looks temporary. I know the same thing happened with Eastern Michigan as well. Doesn't make sense to have to build an oversized stadium. If a school can maintain a program that can compete at the FBS level, then they deserve to play at that level.
the stadium suites at wku are named after the harbaughs not the stadium itself, the original name was lt smith stadium

Why is the Sun Bowl always on CBS every year? I remember the 1988 game between Oklahoma State and West Virginia being played on a snow covered field.

Delaware is joining C-USA in 2025.

They will be in a different series, from what I read they aren't joining football in the C-USA until 2025. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

@gatoradelover6927 thank you guys. I was just going to put them in the ASUN video once I start doing FCS schools. I plan on doing a video with any stadiums I forgot during this series + FBS Independents + PAC 12. Kennesaw State will be included
