thanks Bill! this is what I was looking for! what if I want to shoot with the camera in landscape mode (3 shots)?

mmmm thanks again. I meant in Landacape mode but in the lower rail. I would also need an extra accessory?

Hi all, it's better to use the upper rail for landscape shots. The lower rail is a bit thicker than the upper rail and the camera screw knob isn't long enough to hold the camera securely on the lower rail. You can simply uninstall the upper rail from rotator and then install the upper rail on the lower rail for this. No accessories needed. Even better solution is to purchase the new Right Angle Arca Clamp (F9131) and then you can simply install your camera with arca compatible plate on the lower rail. The F9131 clamp is compatible for both upper and lower rails (as well as "any" arca compatible rails) so you can use it for quick mounting cameras on NN6!

This head is great. But there is a very small design problem with it. The head is mounted to the rotator with a screw. The screw then is covered by the magnetic bubble level. If you wan to remove the head from the rotator what do you do? That bubble level is well attached in there, how can you remove it? After fighting with this bubble level for some time I figured out that a piece of good masking tape was strong enough to pull it out.

Actually "any" sticky tape works really well to remove the bubble level. No need to get a "good" one. If you remove it quickly it leaves no glue marks on the level. As Bill says this was intentional to have to use a magnet for cleaner design of NN6.

well Jan, no need to get defensive. "good tape" in my answer was a figure of speech, and by the way my intervention here was not to criticize Nodal ninja, I have many of their products and bought from you :-)
But back to the topic, When I first figured out this trick I tried a soft tape and it did not work, with masking tape I managed to do it.
So I was just giving a tip to other people who might run into the problem. Its good that this video was posted because let's be honest, the manuals for all these heads, considering all their possible configurations and flexibility, are pretty poor.

I didn't mean my reply as being defensive or negative. Thanks for your insight, this info might be useful for others. I just might have been lucky to have only "good" tapes around me because I never got into any problems no matter what tape I used. :) Good manuals for NN6 are definitely coming.
