I’m glad it helped. Make sure you deliver that baby at a big university hospital if you can. Your baby will need almost immediate care. Might as well be in a good place to deliver. Good luck! Scott
How many surgery required for DORV children. my wife is pregnant (4 month) but in ultrasound report found Baby is suffering from DORV ,please suggest the medical treatment.
@@karennunez2974 hi I have DORV and I had my first surgery when I was a few days old but it depends what the health care provider and if your baby has any other heart problems and the type of DORV your daughter has. I hope she is well xxx
My daughter is four months old, I just found out that she is having Double outlet right ventricle and PDA(3.6)mm. I want to ask if she can get surgery at this age? Plz sir I’m very worried 😢
It depends on her size and whether or not the surgeon wants to wait until the babies older. If she’s having trouble breathing or feeding then they will have to do the surgery earlier. Make sure you go to a big university hospital with a great pediatric thoracic surgeon. That’s the most important thing. Good luck!
I appreciate this video! I am scheduled for a fetal echo to confirm if she has DORV. Your video gave me a better idea of what to expect if true and I appreciate it so much!
Do you have a FB or somewhere where I could message you? I have some personal questions about my defect that maybe you could shed some light on. Which is DORV. Please let me know. Thank you
In my fetal echo double out let right ventricle with parallel outflow tract and vsd guarded prognosis i want to aborut my baby am 20 weeks pregnant give me rply
Hello everyone I am 22 weeks pregnant and my baby’s diagnosis is that he has DORV. I am afraid if we will loose the baby or if the baby will have a normal life. I am so scared And so exhausted and I can’t manage my feelings
The advances in cardiac surgery are amazing. The chances your baby will be born without delivery complications are pretty good. The baby may have to have surgery relatively quick. It depends upon the surgeon and how the oxygen saturation is. Make sure you deliver at a big university hospital. That’s the key.
@@BigPapaScott thank you for the reply. We leave in Ireland and we are from Greece and I don’t know many things for their hospitals. Can I ask you if the baby will be normal ? Normal life without changes? Thank you
@@antoniostr5470 my baby is due in a few weeks and was also diagnosed with DORV along with other heart issues. Our cardiologist told us that she will be able to run and play like any other child. I am not a doctor so I can't say that means anything for your child but maybe it will give you some hope
I am a PA student on my pediatric cardiology rotation. I feel very thankful that you made these videos with your experience. Thank you!
Your very welcome. I’m glad to hear that the videos are helping you. Good luck in school. It sounds like you’ll make a great pa.
