Man people dont understand the work thats needed to have a 14:1 comp and enjoy it without popping the engine every week. Absolute credit to this bloke and i swear there is a little bit of this guy in everyone of us.
Sam White yeah but it has direct injection.... So it isn't much of an achievement. Doing it with port injection... different story. You should probably learn how an engine works before making a comment.
had my 92 VP Executive stolen then found 2 weeks later all wrecked. Before that, I had it for over 10yrs AND it was my first car which my parents gave it to me. Really miss it. Thinking of finding one and rebuild it from the ground up. Love the VP's
Ricardo Santa Fukin oath bro had my vp stolen 2days after my 21st bday just put a sports exhaust and a full tank of gas in it, little pricks were around 14 yrs old wrote the car off and never got caught for it.
Never been a massive VN/P Commodore fan. Especially with all the 6 Cylinders rocking around with later model body kits on them. Horrible! However, this thing is killer. Looks unreal, sounds unreal. A testament to the owner. Well done. Great video again IG, can’t wait for the next one.
It's the car a P-Plater would start with, get these ideas in their heads - then slap on the fibre glass, do everything poorly/cheaply and have a massive defect-list at the end. This example is exactly the same, but planned correctly, designed, engineered, fabricated by experts and generally flawless. Pity the fool who doesn't respect this car.
Amazingly Holden has been one of my best cars i liked since childhood simply because in the AUS these are one of the models can become good at a price range offered two has a present very important two know how two fix create and sell it alot of fun really apreaciate %100
I have always loved the vn - vp commodores i am from nz and am currently custom building a 92 vp in my garage at home with the odd bit of help from professionals i love this car
I've had my VN V8 since 2001 and I'm still driving it & its tidy. Mate that VP is awesome..kudos to an expert built - my car colour is factory 'seacrest green'...I like it
5:55 "Every time I touch it, there's something wrong with it". "Continuous issues". Few seconds later "Can't fault it". You Sir, are a fucking cooked unit. Its like one step away from a Chev badge and a giant holden sticker across the front windscreen.
Not a fan of commodores normally but I actually like this thing. Good HP out of a 383! 14.1 is a bit of a hand grenade though! Well done but mate and to the boys behind the vid - keep em coming.
yes i had a vn ss 5 speed grey colour sold it 2001 now been looking for the same car now but the price of them now has made me think twice about getting one
I had a Vp reaching 300-400hp white with gold Simmons but it got stolen 3 times, on the 1st time some idiots stole it at my house, then the 2nd time they stole it while I was at a hotel and on the Hume highway the guy was reaching 200km per hour whilst being chased by the cops, the cops would not catch up to him, then the guy smashed into a tree due to speeding, then 6 months later he stole again at my house and the cops and I never found it again, I had a Stage 3 Flash Cam, upgraded Injectors, Good Exhaust System and plenty of other things. One of my saddest moments in life.
LunchboxDOTinc I think he's referring to the fact that it has a 5litre displacement and 600hp same displacement and very similar output to a V8 supercar
i have a Camry daily driver, doesn't make it "basically a nascar"... it's a super tidy rig, and he should be proud of it, but it has zero relation to a V8 supercar....
no, no... i got your point perfectly, it's just that your point doesn't change much... going by your point, an XW with 302 winsdor, making 600hp is "basically a V8 supercar" it too has a 5L displacement and very similar output to a V8 supercar... if 5L displacement and 600hp is all it takes to be "basically a V8 supercar, there's theres a whooooole lot of V8 supercars driving around on the road...
lunchbox u are a knob , XW were never V8supercars , its a 90s holden with big brakes, drop tank, 5.0l engine most likely making closer to 500hp not 600hp( which is still a mean feat) and remember they were still using Holden 5.0 is v8 supercars then.
my man.. knows exactly what makes a screamer. No matter the platform, fark.. 14:1.. all that air rammed in and squashed out through high flow zorst. Mate with the rotating assembly being so light, no wonder it sounds like a feking nascar lmao
vp series 2 , first car , no complaints here really nice car for a first i like the older boxy cars , vp is before it got too round and melted this one may have too many gauges for me but other than that looks really clean
Finally, a VP that looks good, including the (my personal dislike) squared off wheel arches. Those wheel arches was the only reason I didn't buy my brother in laws factory v8 berlina he specd to sv5000 plus some extra tweeks and went the VR v8. At least my ex wife could control the VR. Running, a best of 11.5 but consistant low 12s 1/4s the vn was a bit toey, and not bad for 1995. Absolutley nothing on rammed 14:1 comp manualised 5000 stall, bloody awesome. Great job
Not a VP fan. I always thought they were too boxy. Just my opinion. But this is the dogs bollocks. Sweet detailing and a bloody good finish. Good on ya mate. Ya car rocks 👍
wow great work, must have pumped loads of money into it, have to have a hobby i guess, however nice work, so many haters on this page must be jealous or something
well no a "V8 supercar" is a very specific racecar that is built to very strict rules and homologation, and as nice as this car is it nothing like a V8 supercar. I know what you are saying mate and I agree with you but in this case he is referring to a specific race series of holden and ford V8 supercars, which are purpose build race cars with some body panels on them that look like ford or holden, it would be like owning a hotted up toyota camry and saying you have a road going nascar.
not hatin its a really nice car, I just don't know why so many people that own a modified falcon for commodore think that their car is "pretty much a v8 supercar" its not, not even close so stop saying it. the only thing in common between the two are the body panels and even they aren't made of the same materials ffs
MaStars yes it is pretty close to a v8 super car with rego! So the 80's to 90s v8 super cars put out 620 to 650bhp from a 5litre v8! So this guy's car is putting out about the same horsepower!
“I NEED BAGS” Don’t we all Tim....
Underrated comment
Seen this at summernats 33 and still looks this good, full credit to the owner . Awesome car
Man people dont understand the work thats needed to have a 14:1 comp and enjoy it without popping the engine every week. Absolute credit to this bloke and i swear there is a little bit of this guy in everyone of us.
sea doo hahhahah u noob you have no idea what u talking about and see doo fuck you

sea doo talkin poo poo out his doo doo
Sam White yeah but it has direct injection.... So it isn't much of an achievement. Doing it with port injection... different story. You should probably learn how an engine works before making a comment.
Its actually very easy when you run high octane fuel!.

@@mkemm1347 me too, my vn was stolen and messed up.. - They were too easy to steal back then(No security at all)
Never been a massive VN/P Commodore fan. Especially with all the 6 Cylinders rocking around with later model body kits on them. Horrible!
However, this thing is killer. Looks unreal, sounds unreal. A testament to the owner. Well done.
Great video again IG, can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks Justin. Will pass on your comments to the owner. Really appreciate your support!
IG. What are the prerequisites for a vehicle to meet for it to become an IG feature car?
It's the car a P-Plater would start with, get these ideas in their heads - then slap on the fibre glass, do everything poorly/cheaply and have a massive defect-list at the end.
This example is exactly the same, but planned correctly, designed, engineered, fabricated by experts and generally flawless.
Pity the fool who doesn't respect this car.
Justin Simpson agreed
Some of those v6 can do near 300 on long straights
That thing looks beautiful man, love the VP's and VQ's. Nice to see how genuinely passionate the owner is too.
Absolutely love this channel Aussie muscle
Cheers Dixon, appreciate the support!
Love your story ,love the car you have done something we all wish we could do.
Congratulations on a fine Holden
Very very nice car I love what you've done to it and keeping it up-to-date

most engines have alloy heads been that way for a long time
This just reminded me of why strayaa Is so great!
My first car was a VP. I love the VPs
Great story and journey on this ride !
Beautiful car. Well done mate. Love the VPs

That looks f***ing SICK!
Stunning workmanship! Awesome car!
Love ur ride mate u worked hard for it
Very clean, nice job
What an awesome car. Well done!
Anyone else sold a vn/vp and now regreting the decision
yes i had a vn ss 5 speed grey colour sold it 2001 now been looking for the same car now but the price of them now has made me think twice about getting one
Yes I regret selling it as soon as it drove away
I have a mate here in Adelaide that has 3. V6 Vn Calais, v6 turbo exec and a vn ss
no I sold mine those old cast iron v8,s are primitive compared to ls engines
Vp Calais v8 , beige interior , was a repairable write off
I had a Vp reaching 300-400hp white with gold Simmons but it got stolen 3 times, on the 1st time some idiots stole it at my house, then the 2nd time they stole it while I was at a hotel and on the Hume highway the guy was reaching 200km per hour whilst being chased by the cops, the cops would not catch up to him, then the guy smashed into a tree due to speeding, then 6 months later he stole again at my house and the cops and I never found it again, I had a Stage 3 Flash Cam, upgraded Injectors, Good Exhaust System and plenty of other things. sorry to hear mate, what area was this is if you dont mind me asking ?
Is it a legit HSV? Didn't hear him mention it at all. Exterior looks mint but that 'showcar' interior is so outdated.
No. Note also the closing sequence with specs notes Holden VP Commodore.
Thought so. Guy must've thought sticking HSV/Senator badges on gave him more street cred lol
It isn't going to hurt anyone unless he tries to sell it as a senator.
tcpnetworks no it doesnt but its as tacky as putting SI on a base civic
Anthony Perez or a sti badge on a wrx
Timmy, that is a beautiful car mate!
looks mint mate well done awesome build
love 💕 your work mite
I'm still working on my HOLDEN COMMODORE Ute VS 1998
I'd love to see this v8's in the U.K.
Commodore and Falcons are welcome! 😎🚗🔝😁💪
No falcons are shit
@@isaaclegg117 would smash any bommadore you own 😂

Not to everyones (mine included) taste , but the owner seems pretty impressed with the result . I suppose thats the main thing .
Impressive very nice
My car does fully sick skids brah. Pretty much what I heard.
all the wankers with there negativity....i was never a fan at all of the vp but this man is a credit to you it looks amazing
This may come as a stupid question but if he got pulled over would he have to spend time and money putting it back to stock to meet standards? Cheers
wow great work, must have pumped loads of money into it, have to have a hobby i guess, however nice work, so many haters on this page must be jealous or something

Can anyone tell me what brand of wheels are on this?
beautiful
Love it!!
yep, he fell into the spiral of "im just going to do simple stuff" and letting that go completely out the window... ahaha
Find it funny scrolling through some of the comments, and some people picking on the car have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about.
600hp plus at the crank. What about at the wheels
