8:45 This prosecutor is outrageous. She has the nerve to contend that the serial rapist who's dna is found inside the victim is not the rapist/murder, but four people who didn't leave a spec of dna at the scene are. This shows you what folks are up against out here. Some of these cops and prosecutors are just morally bankrupt.

She's coming up in the news again with what happened today. Real piece of work this lady, but really its the whole system you can see it must be lots of people who are corrupted, starting with the Mayor and this prosecutor.

The woman prosecutor know they were innocent but still hide and cover up for ratings it would make a bigger case for three innocent men to go down for the crime than one nobody serial rapest just to rise in life

Kudos to Bob Milan, the former prosecutor featured in this story, for having the moral rectitude to speak the truth and advocating for the exoneration of those who were wrongfully convicted. A pox on Ms. Alvarez.

I use to not understand false confessions. But now I realize that if you don't' know those people can lie to you, especially someone in an important role, you think reality has changed.

I never wish anything bad on people but I wish hope and pray that Anita Alvarez ends up in prison for the rest of her life. Put her in solitary. The amount of lives she has ruined and families she's torn apart can never be made up for. It's not even the fact that she played a part in the wrongful convictions, the thing that makes me see her as evil-incarnate is the way she still tries to deny innocence when DNA proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt. It's like she was born without a soul. A heartless soulless woman who deserves a special place in hell.

Wrongful convictions, and the settlements to those who've spent an extensive amount of time in prison, wrongfully, is one of the reasons why the city of Chicago, the county of Cook, and the state of Illinois, are in such a deficit situation.

I'm watching this in tears right now. I am gutted for these men and know there are many more like them who were tortured into signing their lives away. The Chicago PD is a complete embarrassment and Anita Alvarez is a horrible SA. I am continually disgusted by my city and wonder why I continue to live here.

Prosecutors in Chicago are not allowed to dismiss cases the majority of the time. EVEN if they KNOW its a bs case.
"I know this is a bs case but I cant dismiss it because my supervisor wont let me."
Chicago Police union (no one gets fired) added with a prosecutor who does not wish for justice but seeks to win is the problem.

It takes humility for the prosecution to admit they were wrong and that just rarely happens. I wonder how they would feel if it happened to them or their loved one. The young man who’s mother died. It was probably a stress related illness due to the extreme worry of her innocent child being in prison.

By 'false confession', they mean coerced confessions. It's typical that after counsel the defendant is takes back their confession, but the reality is that true false confessions are extremely rare phenomena, especially in the Western world.

I believe Attorney Alvarez knows these two cases are bogus. She refuses to admit grave miscarriage of justice were committed against these two sets of kids. She is not concerned about their cases, which are former cases, but instead, she is afraid of the implications of these cases for current and future cases, which are similar.

"justice is blind." never when the melanated ones step into a court room. old lady always removed the blindfold! and those people cannot understand why life for them is in the trash can!......oh what a tangle web we weave when we first practice to deceive! for many of you who are wondering why things are falling all around and on you. go inward and look at your life on how you have treated yourself and others. light, healing, love and peace to humanity. No Maat on planet earth! Tua-u (thank you) to the Ancient Ancestors and Herukhuti for bringing justice and righteousness forth for these innocent young men!

I hope this sparks a serious investigation behind the law practices of the DA's office in the state of Illinois, and I hope this shows everyone across the world that although Chicago is a beautiful place to visit, but it's by far the worst place live. This is how the system eats! Every level of the process knows this from the police report to, the judge, to the jailer....this is why the confession is beat out of motherfuckas because it has been decided that it, the confession, trumps everything. This is why the confessions are written by the police and signed by the suspects.

Chgo has never gotten it right regarding its SA office's prosecution of minority defendants. "Never" may not b fair, but the scale of justice 4 minorities is historically uneven. The injustices levied on minorities are systematic practices dating back50yrs+.It is ingrrained w/origins back 2 the reign of RJ Daley. "The Boss"controlled vryting that went on.His edict posthumously reigns; as showed by Alvarez going w/the status quo. She needs a reality√& balls 2 admit that the sys is flawed..

Come on lady... really.. we aren’t that stupid. The DNA is everything. If these guys you put away had no physical evidence, they’re not my guilty. You should be given life for your selfishness. I wonder how much money you made from having these guys locked up. You know these guys are innocent. Give it up people.
