Hey Jay, thanks :) I can give some suggestions. Check out the official MA Forum (forum.malighting.com/wcf/dashboard/) and especially the Elearning (www.malighting.com/training-support/ma-university/overview/). For basic programming, the Elearning. For more advanced stuff (macros, commandline stuff, bugs) the forum. The TH-cam Channel of MA has also some short Videos (th-cam.com/users/MALightingInt). If you have experience with the MA 2 - there are good tutorials by Cat from ACT ( th-cam.com/users/consoletrainerfeatured). I am thinking about creating some basic tutorials on how to get started. I hope these hints are useful. :)
@@glendestam If you use an USB stick, it should work. Internal file structure: 1) cd macro (or appearance or layout...) 2) Import Library “Name.xml“ at macro MacroPoolID 3) cd root So you have to change each line in the macros with "select drive 2" to the following lines: In the Macros EffectEngine, Import Phasers, Import PhaserSelection to „cd macro“ In the Macro Import App to „cd appearance“ In the Macro Import Layouts to „cd layout“ If you have further questions, reach out to me at kontakt.luxbau@gmail.com
Now I tried V 2.1 with my 'Testfile' but none of the Macros really works. I copied all the files as you did in the video and 'helped' the Macros manually to, but when I came to the 'Import Layouts' Macro there was a Message: 'Illegal Object: Import Library "FX Engine small.xml" at Layout 5 /NoConfirm "". It seems to me as the file is in a wrong place. But I don't know enough about the MA3-Filesystem to know where the file really should be or how it can be integrated in the show-file. Edit: Oh, as I imported the FX Engine directly in the Layout View it worked! And to be mentioned: I copied all the files not to a USB Stick. I copied them directly to the corresponting directories in the MA 3 onPC System - Yes, I corrected the Drive Command in every macro before I used it...
Oh i'm sorry if there is a problem. I will try to repair it as soon as possible. (The only thing i changed in 2.1 is that the Macro asks for the layout pool id, where the layout should be stored. I could imagine that there is a problem with the automatic reference to the macros (stored in the layout). I created all macros in the layout and then exported the layout. Maybe if you import the layout to another pool ID (different from the original id) the system does not get all references. Does it work with 2.0?
This is great. Need to make a note to have sequence 2 thru 4 open, or they will merge with whatever is there. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for the feedback! It's improved in Ver. 2.0. You are now asked for a starting Seq Pool ID. : )

hello . how good your vudio I loved it. I have a question how can I make it work for me in version 1.8 thanks
wouw man wat a nice share, i was looking for some exaples on how to build this myself and this is very usefull
Oh, an in english to: Very good work! Just today I asked myself if someone can't do the Phaser a little bit more 'handy'... :-)
hey having some trouble with the layout the only thing that appears is g variabel
Why is the lib_layout folder missing in 1.8? :(
This is awesome, instant subscribed
Tolle Arbeit!
Is there anyway you can help me hey started with this? Pretty new at the grandma3 on pc and you seem very knowledgeable

Doesn't seem to work for me in 1.4.0.2. It creates buttons that just says Macro with nothing in them when I press the Import Effect engine button
Hey glendestam, did you use ver. 2.2? Do you use an USB Stick or the internal gma3 file structure on your pc/mac?
@@luxbau696 i used 2.2 and the internal file structure
@@glendestam If you use an USB stick, it should work.
If you want to use the internal structure, you have to make some changes to the Macro lines:
The syntax for importing stuff from an usb stick is different to the syntax when importing from the internal structure...
Internal file structure:
1) cd macro (or appearance or layout...)
2) Import Library “Name.xml“ at macro MacroPoolID
3) cd root
So you have to change each line in the macros with "select drive 2" to the following lines:
In the Macros EffectEngine, Import Phasers, Import PhaserSelection to „cd macro“
In the Macro Import App to „cd appearance“
In the Macro Import Layouts to „cd layout“
