I like your take on "experimental" fashion - I think that fashion is in a period of evolution where a greater amount of people are appreciating "weird" fashion. We've seen this with especially Rick Owens (aside from the basic hype pieces that people pick up for trend reasons) where a wider audience is starting to get into or at least become comfortable with what seemed foreign to people years ago. In order to keep fashion progressing, more "experimental" fashion has to come out, which imo is super exciting. New designs will pave the way for unique pieces that we've never seen before until we hit the roadblock of copy-and-paste again /: But at the end of the day, this is fashion's "New Year" and then in its November-December stage, whenever that'll be, we'll all be looking forward to the next evolution.
Grounds Japan might be worth a mention/look. Not at all technical but certainly architectural, and very much available with new colour ways being released quite frequently!

Def excited for more vans and new balances. I swore off both Nike and adidas since their shoes were always sold out and tbh they weren’t doing anything exciting. So instead I decided to explore other brands. I got some hi top Axel arogatos for the silhouette being similar to the Jordan’s but without that damn Nike swoosh. Nike ACG shoes and other outdoor like shoes is exciting for me as I wear Patagonia almost exclusively but they don’t make shoes. Nike ACG shoes are excellent but more options from other brands is welcomed.

But man, they've really stepped up their game I think. They have some affordable items and some more expensive ones. There are some really cool items and they seem to put out new unique designs each season. I picked up a jacket and im quite impressed with it. Was fortunate to snag the new Oakley flesh release before they sold out and they've been amazing! Super grippy and comfy for light trekking, not to mention the sweet "hiking but in space" silhouette. 10/10

I think you are spot on with picking Mizuno to go hot this year, just take a look at all the wardrobe people putting them on actors (Will Arnet wore a pair in Lego Masters). But by far my fav thing you mentioned was the adidas+hamcus coloab, every piece went so hard 😍... you know a couple years ago AH was talking to Hamcus about working together too.. so you never know. I hope, like you, this kind of colab is the start of more western brands picking up on the future-fashion-space-cyberpunk thing I feel like we have all morphed our outfits into.

The Vans X wtaps collab was a personal favorite, picked up the Snow MTE, and they're the best boots I currently have. So usable for proper winter conditions. My other two main winter go-to's, ACG Antarctic and Sky Kahas have seen exactly zero use since. As asked in another comment, and worth mentioning for another reason; the Coast CC is vegan friendly. And, since it appears literally EVERYONE slept on this launch, you can still get them. Any size you'd like. Any piece in the collab. Same with the Moc AT Ripstops, come to think of it... It's as if avoiding the obvious collabs and special editions is a great choice, who knew?
The geo forma are legit the most interesting sneakers/boots that i've seen in a while. Its so fucking sad that they sold out so quickly, didnt even get a chance to cop one

I was hoping Adidas would do their own twist on the yeezies, not a fan of most of them, and i certainly wont be buying any now since adidas just removed the soles and shipped them.
I know this is isn't an environmental channel and I'm also not an expert or anything. But I largely believe the idea of recycling shoes(and most other things that can get recycled) to be a falsehood even with the addition of 3D printing. Besides the fact that recycling itself is mostly a lie pushed by big polluting companies that don't want people to do the most important of the three R's(Reduction). Most stuff that's put into recycling bins simply does not get recycled, whether because it costs more than it produces, has been contaminated, gets mixed in with non recyclables, etc. I'm not saying do not buy what you want or that I do not buy stuff. I just do not think people should be thinking that what they are doing is eco-conscious when it is almost certainly not. For the most part if I buy something outside of stuff I need to not die, I just accept that I am probably slightly damaging the planet in some way because that's the most probable reality by a large margin
