- Checking out the all new Car audio lithium battery from Big Jeff audio. This little battery packs a Big Punch! #caraudiobattery #lithiumbattery #lithiumwatts
All battery manufacturers rate the max amperage output of batteries at 7.2 to 8v. NO companies rate the output at 12v. I provide 2 tests for reference but the 10v is more relevent and even higher than the manufacturers max output voltage. But for car audio I see no sense in testing at 7.2 or 8v as car audio that is too low.

Idk how i feel about this battery. Less than 500A? The Titan8 and Glowe voltage will do quite a bit more. We have to remember alternator support matters also but i was hoping for more based on the orice. Jeff should pruce these lowere. I really wish someone would do a real world test of various lithium options wired up in a car not on the bench. @Hifi Vector you could run a couple 15s on your smart5 and play the same song from start to finish on the D4S lto vs bj22 vs titan8 vs glowe voltage and settle it once and for all who has the best pre packaged plug and play lithium.
I agree man. Tests are always on a bench. I don't care what the battery can do down to 12.6v. I don't wanna drop that low. Every bench test I've seen does that. Tests to 12.6v. I wanna see how they do in a car like you said.
Exactly right it’s called CAR AUDIO for a reason. Give them all the same opportunity on a 5min song and let the results show.
When I began this journey down the rabbit hole that is car audio I never could have imagined I would find a fork in the road which led me to buy a trunk full of batteries with a cartoon picture of some dude named Big Jeff.
Would of liked to see a voltage drop test in tie vehicle with a5k... Then we could really see
I bought a 36ah lithium off ebay for only 40$ brand new, guess it was old stock back from 2021. It works and powers my stetsom 3000 like a charm.
bro you should put a video of these on amplifiers. it would help visualize it for me.
Great Video HiFi Vector. You did a great job showing the difference with AGM and Lithium and although more expensive, you get way more with the 3rd of the size. I do see comments saying there are cheaper batteries out there and they are correct, but compare the specs like allot of the Amazon batteries are deep cycle which is not what we need for Car Audio. Either way we feel we made a good product that is safe for a decent price. All batteries come with a free lanyard and sticker also. Think about price. Two of those AGM will still not give you the same with one of these BJ22 Batteries.
Agree totally, a lot of the dirt-cheap batteries have a very weak discharge rate which is NOT what you want for the high demands of car audio amplifiers. Not all lithium's are the same.. And thank you I am glad you enjoyed the video!
i get it bigjeff but 500 bucks is 3 times what most spend on a amp. that being said i am seriously considering getting one, I'm not most people. i got a Frisbee a lanyard, sticker and a bag when i got my sundown 10's from you. guys he will throw some merch in for sure
@carlsandrews266 I respect your input.. I really do.. thank you for taking the time to atleast watch his video.
@BigJeffAudio How much are these batteries? Your website says $1850, HiFiVector says they are $550 each think he said in video. At $550 I would buy one but at $1850 is more than I want to spend
They are sold in multiple qty. check the website and look for the single battery price. $1850 is for a 4 pack of batteries.
500 bucks for 22ah is way to much imo
They are 400$
even at 400$ you can get 200ah for 400$ and has same results crazy
@@TheJuly1300 What battery are you talking about?
final test how long last with constant power each battery
40ah lithium D4S is a way better deal at $550
Glowe Voltage lithium, get the series II 48ah $499
@@BARBELLS-AND-BUDSI was just about to say this but you beat me to it.
@@BARBELLS-AND-BUDSClearly you havent heard of jag35... Glowe is expensive in comparison
40ah of yinglong is better. After that plannano, scib cells, shenquan.
All their crap is too expensive! Ima DIY dude so ima spend half that amount on a setup of LEV60s from JAG35.
I love these lithuim batterys but I'm very worried about there performance in the cold I'm seriously considering possibly just getting agm. It often gets to -20c -4f in the winter and sometimes even colder. Even agms lose voltage and what not in the extreme cold I just don't wanna get something that's gonna be completely dead if it gets that cold and not work at all without it being warmed up
Edit maybe some lithuims do fine in very cold temp I'm not sure but I've definitely heard of ones becoming basically useless in any Temps colder than -10c
THE D4S LTO 6.0 have a better price point :D or for 50 more D4S JP40 good for 6000 to 12000 watts :D
I would like to see a test with both of them connected together, simmulating using the big jeff battery as a second battery in the trunk
I would save a little bit more and go with D4S
I got a LTO 6.0 by D4S i live it smaller than this battery lithium is the way to go
If I have ATM in the front and lithium in the back do you think it would be good for me to hook up my 400 w mid and high amp up to the AGM battery and then hook up my 3000 w sub app to the lithium battery?
Be careful with LiPho4 and LTO batteries as their charge rates are different and will kill the lead acid batteries. Best to have a solenoid so its only connect when the vehicle is on.
Don't fall for the hype. Any battery will yield impressive results. The LiPho4 batteries are super light. I use the LiTime branded 50ah battery and its been great. My reasons tho are not actually for car audio, that was just an unexpected benefit.
Great test, I like Big Jeff over Down4sound because customer service is much better. I wish Jeff had better and more frequent sales though. D4S seems to better sales.
Would you be able to test a JP40? I haven't seen a real world test done on one yet. Lot's of claims' but I have yet to see any real data. Thank you.
Nice video, thanks man. I've seen other batteries with the same specs, for much less. I'm wondering how they would match up to this one and other name brands. $300 seems a bit high, or I'm just not in the know.
$450?..come on man
Super cool tks
Wonder wy agm is still high as hell
NICE!!!
Can this battery be installed on its side? Does it I have to be upright?
You can mount on its side yes.
Very cool ! Now I’m assuming this would be used as a secondary power source ? Don’t want to sound stupid but getting back into car audio game and things are way diff. Would this be ran in series or parallel ? Def love how small it is and how hideable it is ! @bigjeffaudio I’m def looking into one now that I’ve ordered myself a xs battery for my main source of power
Yes this would be a secondary battery. And as far as connection positive to positive and negative to negative.( parallel)
Big Jeff
Does iron phosphate get hotter than titanium oxide that down4sound has?
Yea LiFePo4 is less safe than LTO
👍👍👍...
Big Jeff FTW 100% They have the best costumer service over others, not to mention how much Big Jeff gives back to the car audio community.
