I recently discovered that all the "pot" stuff etc. now have health and energy benefits after smoking them (crabs, crayfishes, shrimps, mussels, clams...) 😊
Looking for Rock Crabs? The Gold/lava mine levels 80+ have a much higher spawn rate than the lower levels for rock crabs.. I spam 90+. There is a Mob level a couple of floors from 90. Also, your Holy sword (crusader) is good against the void spirits (2x).
I really appreciate the editing on this one, I only noticed it here that sometimes you’ll skip screens between leaving areas, and that’s just such a nice little way of taking out extra time without it being very noticeable so kudos to the editor 😊
I see Goobus and her ancient fruits and I see my farm where I'm in the second year and haven't found a single ancient seed and I cry 😂❤ Much love to this playthrough
Even though it doesn't show a price in your inventory you can sell any rings(and shoes, weapons, monster loot) at the adventurer's guild. Most rings sell for between 100 and 300.
Gab I haven't gamed since I was a kid and I went out and bought a laptop just so I could play Stardew! I haven't been able to unlock the skull cavern yet so I'm super pumped to watch this play through 😎
It costs me 500g to go to the skull cavern to get all the resources for an iridium sprinkler. I can't convince myself to buy that sprinkler from Krobos. Until I found a field snack in a trash can, I completely forgot I could make those. So much content.
For me it's worth the money to not have to face down the skull cavern 😂 the flying serpents are just too scary for me but I'm also a little baby gamer lol
@@hannahbumbebee - hey, take your time and work on your friendships with both the townsfolk and your pets, it'll take a bit more time but it's safer to try and get the statue of perfection for free daily iridium
Playing 1.6 version a little later than you did, and I'm braving myself to run Wilderness Farm. Today I saw one of my ducks finally swimming after failing at the normal farm play and I'm so, so happy. Today also I learned to harvest all matured crops using scythe in 1.6. So much easier and faster.
My weekend starts today and this is the best way to kick it off. :D And you don't have to wait on void eggs and void mayo just for Krobus! Wild horseradish is one of their loved gifts too, and is MUCH easier to get a hold of. That's how I wormed my way into their heart real quick
The books continue to give you experience after 10! You'll go into like, "master" them and if you read books (even with the 👍🏻) you'll get experience. I recently got to 10 and saved books just to test it. So, I recommend saving books!!
I'm listening to these streams in the background while I play Ooblets - a game that I heard about from you and have been waiting to be able to play for quite a while (I don't have a windows pc, but now got a Steam deck which can run it). Very cozy!
So nice to sit back and relax watching a Gab stardew video after completing a perfection run. Now I can not stress until 1.6 hits on the switch. Thanks or the episode!
I'm always awed how fast Gab progresses in this game, can't believe it's Skull Mines time already! Sure, chat helps her but you can't convince me that she's not also just great at Stardew. 🤩It's awesome to watch even if it makes me feel super slow in my own playtrough. 😅 And even with her quick progress the videos feel chill and not rushed. 👍
I find it impressive that she's able to pay attention to the chat, talk and stay on task in SV at the same time. When I play with a friend, I run around like a headless chicken usually and can barely remember what I was trying to do that day, or I am unable to chat with my friend because I just can't do two things at once.
So I know you probably don't look at old videos comment sections bit Gab you have no idea how much I love your stardew valley playthroughs it's so relaxing and fun at the same time. Thank you for the vid
I’m pretty sure the eggs for the community center are just “any” eggs, or at least any chicken eggs. Higher quality ones will count as lower quality/smaller eggs, same as the different qualities for the wheat in the fodder bundle. Iirc you don’t need only small eggs.
I experienced my first green rain last night, and it was cool. I even got some mossy seeds and can't wait to plant them. I remixed my community center bundles and think it's funner(?) Trying to get them completed.
I recently unlocked mastery in my own game by the way. It is soo much fun it is making me look forward to "leveling up" again. I wont spoil it but the farming mastery so far has been my favourite and the fishing one unlocks something that made catching the legend fish much MUCH easier :D
I have some tips that I hope help! Something that I use to help in the skull mines (great first run btw!) is to have my sword, pickaxe, and healing food in the first slot of each row in my inventory. That way if I need to switch quickly I can just hit tab and already be on whichever item I need instead of having to scroll. It has definitely saved me a few times when I needed to eat quickly while fighting a monster (usually a serpent). Typically I have it in order of sword, pickaxe, food but depending on if I take a lot of damage and find myself needing to eat more I will put it as sword, food, pickaxe. For healing food I take cheese once I get cows and cave carrots before that since I always get cave carrots in the mines anyway. I figure if they’re going to take up an inventory spot might as well just have them from the beginning. The only downside is they don’t heal all that much so I usually have to eat quite a few. Also I find the slime egg press worth it to use! The lowest selling egg goes for 1,000 gold and the highest (that you can make in the egg press) sells for 5,000. I always have a ton of slime I don’t use so I just make slime eggs to sell. The highest selling slime egg is the tiger slime egg (8,000) but there are only two ways I know you can get those. One is from tiger slime drops (after building a slime hutch all slimes have a chance to drop eggs). The other is from a fish pond with a Lionfish. You can go into the room at the back of the adventurer’s guild now. Definitely worth checking out! One quick thing about the regular mines as I haven’t seen anybody comment this - if you find an infested floor then the next day the infested floor will be one below that. So if you went and floor 16 was infested the next day floor 17 will be infested. I used this when trying to get the monster eradication goals. I don’t know how it handles the floors with just an elevator/fishing spot or if there is anything about the way it resets if it reaches the bottom. I’ve always been lucky enough that when I find an infested floor the next one isn’t just an elevator or fishing one. A note with the mushroom log - yes the trees do increase it working but it is the amount of trees in a 7x7 square around the mushroom. How many trees there are increases the amount of mushrooms you can get with the max being 5, and the type of tree influences what mushroom you will get. You always have a chance to get purple, red, or common. Oak Trees add a chance for morels. Pine Trees add a chance for chanterelles. I’ve never had a different kind from the main 3 with maple trees. What I did was plant a column of trees for tappers (5 trees for each kind) and then once they were fully grown I put a mushroom log in between the trees so when I went to collect from the tappers I could just run down and collect mushrooms at the same time. I know the mushrooms spawn after a certain amount time but I always just go based on when the tappers are ready. Lastly, I’ll add another comment under this since it is a different topic but I have some short stand alone game recommendations for my real gamer steam library.
The game recommendations are in order starting with my personal favorite. All of them are on steam but I did see that a few were available to play on the Switch as well. Here are the game recommendations! 1. Luna The Shadow Dust. It is a puzzle game in which you follow the main character and their buddy piecing together the story of how the main character ended up where they were at the start of the story. Trying not to give anything away here. 😅 Purchased this during a sale thinking it looked interesting and it ended up being one of my favorite games I played last year. I have so much love for this game. It is from a 4 person team and it is all hand animated. The artwork is absolutely GORGEOUS. I was disappointed I found the game later on and the physical art book for it was sold out by the time I discovered it. I’d love to see your reaction to this game but even if you don’t record it or anything I just really want more people to know about this game and experience it. 2. Carto. A cozy game with very lovable characters and a fun game mechanic! You play as Carto, a cartographer who got separated from their grandmother during a storm and are trying to reunite with. You manipulate pieces of the map you have to travel through different lands, acquire more map pieces, and solve various other puzzles to help people as you go. I finished this in about 5 hours but I also went for everything. You don’t have to though, what you unlock by completing everything isn’t a new level it is behind the scenes stuff. Cool to see but you won’t miss out on any levels or gameplay. If you just want a happy puzzle adventure with fun art and interesting characters and worlds I would recommend it! 3. Toem: A Photo Adventure. I feel like this is most comparable to A Short Hike. Just in the sense of your character’s main goal going out to see this wonder of nature and finding all sorts of people and things they can do on the way. There’s a lot you can do in this game (and an extra level once you finish the main story and watch the credits. You click “continue adventure” on the Home Screen after the credits.) This game does specify what you need to do to reach the next level. Not by telling you outright but more in a “you can do 14 things in this area and to pass to the next one you need to complete at least 8 of them” kind of way and telling you certain things you need to find. One thing I do think it would have benefitted from is having some way of signifying which quests can only be completed by going to another level first and then coming back. Spent a long time trying to figure out where I was missing something only to look it up and find it was in the next level and I had to bring it back. Other than that I quite liked the balance of pushing you in the right direction while still letting you figure things out yourself. The dev team also included pictures of their real pets throughout the world which was so cute to see. I felt you really got the sense of how much they enjoyed creating this game while playing it. If you do end up playing it - at the hotel lobby of the forest area look up at the ceiling and zoom all the way in with your camera. Wait for a bit and you’ll get a surprise! I accidentally found this after completing the main task for the lobby while being stuck on an extra task and looking everywhere I could to see if I missed anything - so I’m not sure if you need to finish the main lobby task for it to work or not. I don’t think you would need to but again I’m not sure. 4. Pikuniku. I strongly agree with one review that said “I felt like a silly little goober playing this and that’s all I could ask for”. A game with some puzzle elements that is just the right amount of silly. Plus there’s all sorts of fun hats you can find for your character in the game! I recommend playing with a controller. I didn’t personally play this game co-op but I’ve heard it is fun that way too. Actually, after playing it I could see why this game might even be more fun co-op just for chaos. 5. Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise. I’m pretty sure this one has a demo on steam. You play as a secret agent trying to infiltrate an enemy spy’s house and foil their plans. Plus there’s a cat! Very fun, interesting puzzles. It felt very rewarding to piece together information and successfully solve the puzzles. I played it in two sessions but I’m sure you could easily play it in one go. I’ll try to be as vague as I can here to not give anything away but I recommend potentially having chat help you. I found out at the end I missed an achievement with the cat and would have gotten it had I gone about an earlier task differently and I was devastated lol. I wanted that extra cat related achievement. Not enough to play it again just for an achievement, but still. 6. InBento. Cute game! Very relaxing. Centered around a cat and each stage is a stage of its life and the cat taking the bentos with them as they grow. The cat aspect doesn’t come up so much aside from the artwork you see once you finish a stage. As far as gameplay goes you have to make the bentos match the picture in the corner of the screen. You’ll have various pieces and different ways you can use pieces at different levels. I’ve actually not finished this game. I flew through majority of the stages and I’m stuck on the last 2 stages. I’ve almost finished half the levels in the second to last stage but I got stuck trying to figure out a bento and needed to just take a break. This one doesn’t have as much variety though in that you are pretty much doing the same thing each time but with different restrictions or tools you are given. Fun though if you like this kind of puzzle! Plus very nice to see the art of the cat growing up. I think I personally would have preferred playing this on switch. I think this is a good game to just chill on the couch while playing. 7. Railbound. I’ve also not finished this one. This game has a lot of levels and most main levels unlock bonus levels (so for example you would play Stage 2 Level 1 and then if you finish that you can try Stage 2 Level 1A and/or Stage 2 Level 1B). You are trying to build train tracks to make the cars meet up with the train in order (the cars are numbered). I don’t think this is a game you would have to finish necessarily or do all in one go as there isn’t a story or anything you need to keep track of in order to continue on in the game. I personally see this game more as one you could do if you have a bit of extra time during streams to just come back to every now and then and complete some levels in. Like coming back and just doing one day or two in Stardew, but without the need to remember what you were working on. That’s how I’m approaching the game right now at the harder levels - taking a break and then coming back with a fresh perspective when I want to work on some puzzles. I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on anything or need time to get familiar with the game again when I go back. Those are all the recommendations I have from my Real Gamer steam library. Like I said, I think you would like these games and even if you don’t play them for a recording or stream I just want more people to know about them as I had a great time playing all of them! Though it would be really cool to see your reaction and gameplay style with the different games. I always enjoy watching you play puzzle games because things I usually solve quickly tend to take you longer and things I find really difficult you tend to see and be able to solve quickly. So cool to see the different ways people approach puzzles!! Though sometimes you solve a puzzle and I’ll have JUST watched you go through it and I’m still sitting there trying to understand it 😅
0:17 "I'll put it in my chest... and cherish it" haha same!! I have a chest full of gifts from my cat Miso, and I just can't bring myself to sell them, they're precious!!
never thought to put vegemite on the toast soldiers, something I ought to try next time lol EDIT: absolutely recommend, 1000%, didn't even need to add salt to the eggs
@@lazyperfectionist3978 haha glad I could help. My husband misses his Vegemite. He doesn’t have an easy way to get it since he moved to Texas forever ago when we got married, but when we do get some from his parents, he loves it for his soldiers. I can’t stand the stuff, personally. 🤣
Another vote for Spiritfarer if/when you're up for another long (ish) game! It's so beautiful, moving and funny, one of my all time favourites, I really think you'd like it! ❤
I'm sure others have recommended this, but since this is going to be the cats and krobus playthrough, you should marry Haley or Alex, get a kid or two, and then divorce them. Then move krobus in. That way you can try for the crit when you baby toss. Thank you so much for doing this series. I absolutely love it, but I'm not able to play it myself, and I find it very relaxing to watch you play. It's good for my anxiety. I love Disney dream light valley, fae farm, ooblets, etc but I think stardew was my first, and thus my favorite.
Good thing you streamed right between 16.6 and 16.8, as 16.7 caused an unavoidable crash that had the Steam community crumbling to dust over the hours they had to go without Stardew hehe
I loved watching you play expanded theres so much to it and you've barely scratched the surface There may not be enough engagement but the people that do watch thoroughly enjoy it Maybe theres less engagement because of the unpredictable and long waiting period between each episode as most people i presume would want to accumulate a few episodes to binge it So Gab I request you please after being done with 1.6 please please resume the expanded series those were really good maybe you could do 1 episode per week idc if its short as long as the playthrough still continues
Hidden Pictures was the book I made all of my friends read, I made it my whole personality because I loved it so much. If you enjoy it, check out Fever House!! Should be right up your alley!!
maybe bring the green gem in the BS box to the spot in the desert that makes the rainbow sword? (I have no idea if it will work, just a hunch!) or that skull thingy next to the mine?
I don't know who this will help if any, I found the moving while watering hop works better if your mouse isn't on your crops since the watering can tends to favor where the mouse is.
If you do find time to do Spiritfarer, it would be so great! I definitely understand the timing not working out, but if it does, I think that you would really love the game ❤

Same, I love the Krobus + kitties idea too but am low-key hoping she marries Haley now. 😸

Also I was just made aware that you can get wild seeds from putting certain items from each season in a seed maker, so you don't have to craft them every single time.
Spring: Wild Horseradish
Summer: Spiceberries
Fall: common mushrooms
Winter: winter root
This is insane detail! Thank you for your service 😄
This took so much effort, thank you for helping everyone out ❤
you are a saint, i'm finally starting on friendships on my most recent save and this is a lifesaver 😩
You're a legend and I think we could be great friends
The diamonds are not lab grown....
They're Gab grown!
nice
I recently discovered that all the "pot" stuff etc. now have health and energy benefits after smoking them (crabs, crayfishes, shrimps, mussels, clams...) 😊
HA you said "pot" and "smoking".
.....I'll show myself out.
@@SecretSurname Thankyouveddymuch, tips go in the honey pot🍯
Looking for Rock Crabs? The Gold/lava mine levels 80+ have a much higher spawn rate than the lower levels for rock crabs.. I spam 90+. There is a Mob level a couple of floors from 90. Also, your Holy sword (crusader) is good against the void spirits (2x).
I really appreciate the editing on this one, I only noticed it here that sometimes you’ll skip screens between leaving areas, and that’s just such a nice little way of taking out extra time without it being very noticeable so kudos to the editor 😊
I see Goobus and her ancient fruits and I see my farm where I'm in the second year and haven't found a single ancient seed and I cry 😂❤
Much love to this playthrough
Even though it doesn't show a price in your inventory you can sell any rings(and shoes, weapons, monster loot) at the adventurer's guild. Most rings sell for between 100 and 300.
Some even sell for up to 750!
Ohh my days I cannot believe you got the traveller to sell you truffles. A truffle was the only thing I was missing to complete the center year 1 XD
Gab I haven't gamed since I was a kid and I went out and bought a laptop just so I could play Stardew! I haven't been able to unlock the skull cavern yet so I'm super pumped to watch this play through 😎
Gab’s laugh at 55:33 is so cute she sounds like a Korok from Zelda 🥹
ya hahahaha!
That's so sad about the developers of Bear and Breakfast... :( I hope she is able to get the cancer into remission and recover...
Gab you have so much progress and here i am just now unlocking the green house in year 3 💀 I love your cozy stardew videos ❤
1:41:00 that transition from the sewer to the community center was seamless!
All those torches and my head only goes to “Only you 👉 can prevent forest fires”
@@hannahbumbebee I'm the same as you, although I think there is a way to buy the iridium bar from the traveling cart, which makes it waaay cheaper
@@LeSethXthey occasionally show up, as far as I know there's no way to make it a regular item
@@hannahbumbebee - hey, take your time and work on your friendships with both the townsfolk and your pets, it'll take a bit more time but it's safer to try and get the statue of perfection for free daily iridium
I see Stardew, I Click Stardew. Love watching these while I play, it’s like playing co-op 😂
I was playing while watching too. I want to play with more people.
And you don't have to wait on void eggs and void mayo just for Krobus!
Yeah 250 exp per book if I remember BlaDe's video right
I'm listening to these streams in the background while I play Ooblets - a game that I heard about from you and have been waiting to be able to play for quite a while (I don't have a windows pc, but now got a Steam deck which can run it). Very cozy!
Am I the only one who starts singing “worst pies in London” when Sandy says “gasp A customer”?
I mean, with the price of meat what it is...when you get it...if you get it? 😂
same, I just blurted out loud "WAIT WHAT'S YOUR RUSH, WHAT'S YOUR HURRY? YOU GAVE ME SUCH A FRIGHT I THOUGHT YOU WAS A GHOST-"
I'm not sure if you've forgotten, but if you check the oracle about your luck, you can know which days are more likely to give you geodes.
I was JUST checking to see if a new Stardew video was out! Perfect timing :) Thanks for sharing, and for continuing to play my favourite game :)
29:20 Coral and clam used to make Deluxe Speed Gro but he changed that in the recent update.
It's so interesting that the cat gave a fish, I have a dog in mine and he's so far given me bone fragments, clay, and a strange doll. 😆
It’s all things you can dig up!
my dog gave me hardwood
in case no one has told you, the community center doesn’t need just small chicken eggs! it can be any eggs of any kind 😊
This is the best surprise! The updates in Stardew are so fun this round!!
I just finished that book! I think you'll love what happens in it!
I remixed my community center bundles and think it's funner(?) Trying to get them completed.
if you plant a mossy seed next to some other trees, I think it can help the other trees grow moss faster
I recently unlocked mastery in my own game by the way. It is soo much fun it is making me look forward to "leveling up" again. I wont spoil it but the farming mastery so far has been my favourite and the fishing one unlocks something that made catching the legend fish much MUCH easier :D
I think the combat mastery one is really fun! And I'm not a huge fan of the combat normally
Hidden pictures is legit one of my favorite books of the past year! I hope you love it
The community center takes any size milk and eggs, not to worry!
Though sometimes you solve a puzzle and I’ll have JUST watched you go through it and I’m still sitting there trying to understand it 😅
I'm embarrassed to admit how excited I got to see Gab posted a new Stardew!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Crazy to think this game is almost 10 yrs old
best stardew valley player out there
I’m so excited to watch the rest of this after my last exam of university! And play stardew of course
The books also make good gifts to certain people. Penny likes the books a lot. I give her the random ones I don't need or want.
Crusader is my favorite enchantment for my weapon
0:17 "I'll put it in my chest... and cherish it" haha same!! I have a chest full of gifts from my cat Miso, and I just can't bring myself to sell them, they're precious!!
You can move the pet bowels. I put mine by the green house for my cat and dog.
My husband says it’s soldiers when he dips strips of toast with butter and Vegemite into his egg. He’s Oz, though, so who knows.
never thought to put vegemite on the toast soldiers, something I ought to try next time lol
EDIT: absolutely recommend, 1000%, didn't even need to add salt to the eggs
@@lazyperfectionist3978 haha glad I could help. My husband misses his Vegemite. He doesn’t have an easy way to get it since he moved to Texas forever ago when we got married, but when we do get some from his parents, he loves it for his soldiers. I can’t stand the stuff, personally. 🤣
I miss the mod that lets you have an elevator for the skull mines.. 😢😅 need it for 1.6
'A chub frenzy has begun'
Literally me when I smell doughnuts 😂
You're so lucky, my cats only bring me dead lizards and hair ties!
I didn’t know about the bear and breakfast dev having cancer and I looked it up to confirm and now I’m sad 😢
The stream where Kitty didn't get enough water. I was always like: give water to the cat pleeez
Another vote for Spiritfarer if/when you're up for another long (ish) game! It's so beautiful, moving and funny, one of my all time favourites, I really think you'd like it! ❤
Also you have a pet cat and yes you can pet it 😻
My bats left a pineapple!!! WHAAAT???!! 😯😁
Omg in the seed maker immediately! What luck!
I love Stardew Valley days with Gabs ❤❤❤
I'm sure others have recommended this, but since this is going to be the cats and krobus playthrough, you should marry Haley or Alex, get a kid or two, and then divorce them. Then move krobus in. That way you can try for the crit when you baby toss.
Thank you so much for doing this series. I absolutely love it, but I'm not able to play it myself, and I find it very relaxing to watch you play. It's good for my anxiety. I love Disney dream light valley, fae farm, ooblets, etc but I think stardew was my first, and thus my favorite.
Yay I’ve been soo excited for another episode! Much love 💚
FYI, you can sell unwanted boots/weapons/rings to the Adventurers' Guild.
jumped from the stream to watch the newest TH-cam video hehe
You can give any sized eggs to the community centre :) I gave a mix of small and big eggs.
New stardew o’clock 🎉
Maybe that special gem is for Grandpa's shrine?
Best Skull Mines run ever!
Good thing you streamed right between 16.6 and 16.8, as 16.7 caused an unavoidable crash that had the Steam community crumbling to dust over the hours they had to go without Stardew hehe
I loved watching you play expanded theres so much to it and you've barely scratched the surface
There may not be enough engagement but the people that do watch thoroughly enjoy it
Maybe theres less engagement because of the unpredictable and long waiting period between each episode as most people i presume would want to accumulate a few episodes to binge it
So Gab I request you please after being done with 1.6 please please resume the expanded series those were really good maybe you could do 1 episode per week idc if its short as long as the playthrough still continues
Managed to do skull mines with no stairs. Proudest moment!!!!!!
Hidden Pictures was the book I made all of my friends read, I made it my whole personality because I loved it so much. If you enjoy it, check out Fever House!! Should be right up your alley!!
Did anyone else notice the crab that popped up with the menu at 1:33:34 and then went down completely unnoticed XD
perfect video to relax to after work
Loving this series. Maze next year is a lot bigger. ❤❤❤❤❤
Starting on a rainy day, wish it would rain here.
I’ve been re watched your old stardew play through
❤❤❤❤❤ 10/10
maybe bring the green gem in the BS box to the spot in the desert that makes the rainbow sword? (I have no idea if it will work, just a hunch!) or that skull thingy next to the mine?
PRISMATIC SHARD ON THE LAST ROCK, YOU GO GIRL!
I don't know who this will help if any, I found the moving while watering hop works better if your mouse isn't on your crops since the watering can tends to favor where the mouse is.
Oh cool..I really needed this today. Thanks

1:56:06 Hold tf up a minute.....is that a Ty the Tasmanian Tiger reference??!!!
I married Abigail. When the alien capsule cracked I was attacked by the alien on the back road to Robin's and Abby killed it and saved me.
I married Alex and he’s repeatedly saved me from the Mines. Like, very deep in the mines.
New Stardew time. Thank you very much for the upload Gab. I like your Stardew's very much😍😍😊😊

yeah, she's aware :)
Hidden Pictures is SOO good! Hope to hear what you thought of it once you finish!
Uhh I had "Hidden Pictures" on my tbr forever. Maybe I should pick it up soon. 🤔
If you do find time to do Spiritfarer, it would be so great! I definitely understand the timing not working out, but if it does, I think that you would really love the game ❤
you finally blocking is so satisfying 🤭
I blame Gab for the amount of chests I now have lol. I have two bullshit/tool boxes😂

would love to see gab play little goody two shoes ;-;
Can't wait for the next Nancy game! Will you be playing the new one that comes out May 7th?
