Could you pls explain why not able to cut outer parameter? and why not single cut instead of pocketing?

Excellent video. This helps me a great deal. I machine a lot of 12"x12"x1/16" thick ABS sheets. Usually, the part has many small holes & rectangles, I use a small 2mm single flute carbide cutter to cut out the geometry.

what if you wanted to cut outside the contour?say you have a sheet of plywood from which you have to cut out parts

The sketches here are used to define the geometry that defines the operations. In the operations you can add the compensation. If you want to compensate outside the contour then define the feature as a Boss. If you want to stay inside the contour then define it as a Pocket. For open chains you will define it as a Open Profile that has a direction of cut, so the operation's definition of climb vs conventional tells CAMWorks which side of the line to be on. If you ever need help with this you can always call into your local CAMWorks Reseller for technical support.
