This is super cool! I was taught by my mom and I usually learn from her and hardly ever watch youtube videos... This changed the game entirely for me and I thank for that because I never realized how easy this headband was!
This was my first crochet project (I learned to crochet like 3 days ago). Super easy to do and follow, took me less than an hour to make, super comfort, and so super stylish! My closet may or may not be filled with multiple colours of this! And like everyone else mentioned, in an Oprah voice, you get one, you get one, you get one, you get one!!!!
This was my first video I've watched about crocheting. I like so many things about this video I can't even begin....the slow, visual process, calm voice, visual effects....great work and thanks!
This is an amazing tutorial. I like that you doubled the wool. It makes it really solid, nice & warm. You are easy to follow with your very clear instructions. Thank you......
I saw a similar headband in a retail store and can't figure out how to make the braid and then I came across this video. Well explained and easy to follow. You just saved me $50 from buying it in the store. Weekend project ... here I came.
My 8 year old Granddaughter just found this video......so me...Nonna just made her one out of 3 grey strands and 2 light and dark pink ... 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you.
Great instructions, fits perfectly! I did change it up only slightly... instead of cutting the yarn and starting a new chain for each of the 5 strands, i chained up 70 from the previously finished stand. So it ended up being 1 piece that looked like an octopus (with only 5 legs)... lol i hope that makes sense, it made it easier for me to put together at the end!
Thank you so much for this video. I am part of a support group and we do crochet. I am not very good but I am learning. I wanted to give a special gift for a close friend who is like a sister as she has been through everything with me and never turned her back on me. This video finally gave me the idea for her christmas present. Thank you so much for this video.
Awesome tutorial, so much easier than the headbands I was making. This will save me time and I love the look of the five strands vs a four stranded one.
I am in love with this. I just started learning to crochet and this will be too on my list to do. I love winter headbands and can never find ones I really like. I seriously can not wait to do this. Thanks for the tutorial!
I looooove this. So pretty. I can’t wait to make it. I’m new at crocheting...and already eager to make new things. So happy I found your site. You’re excellent at explaining, and demonstrating, each step into the project I’m crocheting.
Just finished this and it turned out so cute! You did go a little fast on the braiding part, I found I had to braid, pause, unbraid, video, pause, braid, unbraid several times, and even still, it's not as perfect as yours, but I'm happy with it. (I'm an intermediate crocheter and braider of my waist length hair) Thank you for sharing this video!!
Yeah the braiding can be a little tricky in the beginning. Once you get used to the pattern its not so bad! Its like weaving a basket, but working from the outsides in. I would never attempt this on my hair 😂 😶

I made this with a bulky yarn and an L hook and it was huge! Going to try to make it at 50 chains (it's that big!) and see if it fits that way. Thanks for the super easy pattern, though! Only took me about 1.5 hours to make!
I love this headband! The braiding part was a bit fast but the key is to memorize the left 3 strips & then the right 2 strips & alternate working them & together to get this 5 strand braid. It's actually the same concept as making the little friendship bracelets we made as children. Made myself a very elegant, classy looking headband. Thank you for sharing.
I am so glad!! Yes, once you get the hang of it, the braiding becomes second nature. It’s basically weaving. You can do this with hair too! That’s actually what gave me the idea!
This is my favorite crochet tutorial on youtube! Its so easy to follow and it looks amazing! Thank you. The only complaint i have is that you don't have more videos ;) Love it! Will follow you as you upload more videos. Congratulations on your channel
Aww thanks lady!! We are working on a lot more at the moment. January was a tough month, but we have a few videos coming in the next couple weeks. So excited to share with you & glad you love it!! Find me on Instagram to see what’s up next! 💜💜💜
This is beautiful , your instructions are so easy to follow. I'm a beginner this is only my third project. I made this for a friend and decided to make me one too except when I did it the second time around I decided to change the seem. I used seem markers to join the ends on each side together individually... sorta like an infinite, then I stitched the ends together, then slid the connection under where one goes over so you can't see it.
Have just completed my 5 strands. So now going to attempt the braiding them together.I don’t have any faith in myself now having reached this point which has been soo very easy to accomplish. So will let you know how I get on..
Hahaha yay!! Once you learn a few stitches the possibilities are endless! This is just an easy version but there are more complex ways to make (very cool) braids as you go!
I saw one tonight on a customer where I work at a craft store. So wanted to make some but afraid it was to hard. Tonight I thought if this girl could so can I found your video . Thank you so much .
I love this but they are definitely tight. I made pieces for 3 of them before assembling. I will definitely add some stitches next time. Thanks for the pattern!
Yes! I struggled with the braiding as there were five strips, but somehow it worked. I used two strands of Aran or worsted. It turned out well although I was not pleased with the join I did. Going to experiment with different yarns including super chunky.
Just came across your vid craft channel... Really LOVE..LOVE..the crochet headband.. Can't wait 2 work on it...u made the instructions so easy to follow... Every relative & friend will have one for Christmas & the winter weather... Thanks so much..🌻..Peace & Love.🌻
So sweet Linda! It really is really simple! Here’s a trick I learned after making the video: You can also leave the strands connected to make it easier to sew in later. Make your chain, and when you DC back to the start, don’t cut the yarn. Simply chain the next strand, and DC back.
Omg I'm definitley going to try this Today! So simple and easy but it looks like it's hard to make. Thank you for making this video. Love the quality and everything. *subscribe* 😁

Aww I am so glad!! I really love when tutorials are concise, so that’s what I try to do. You are maybe one of the first people to say that! It means a lot!
Crochet Beignet The braiding part was a challenge at first but I just kept with it. Finished my first for my daughter who lives in Alaska. She will love it! Thinking of lining it with something warm and fuzzy. I want to make one for a 6 year old. If you have made that how many stitches would I start with? Appreciate the help. Again, great job!
That is a fantastic idea. For a six year old, I might chain between 64-66. I haven’t made it in that size yet, but you really dont need to take much away!
I am twelve years old and I love crocheting 🧶 I followed your video and it came out just like yours thank you so much 😊

Excellent video. I am going to start one tonight. I love that you went fast and didn't fill time with endless chatter.
I love that you love that! Haha, I try not to waste people’s time 😉

Awesome tutorial, so much easier than the headbands I was making. This will save me time and I love the look of the five strands vs a four stranded one.
Wow thought it would be much harder , perfect for last minute gift idea . Thanks for posting this
Thanks a bunch. Just finished mine. It looks nice. I was a little confused with the braiding but I figured it out. Can't wait to try the 2nd one.
Just made myself a headband with this tutorial. I used Elizabeth stitch instead of double crochet and it turned out great :) thanks
What's Elizabeth stitch?
I am in love with this. I just started learning to crochet and this will be too on my list to do. I love winter headbands and can never find ones I really like. I seriously can not wait to do this. Thanks for the tutorial!

Thank you so much! This is so simple yet cute. It looks incredible on variegated yarn with all of the colours woven together. :)
Wow, I bet it is! I Love This Yarn has some cool prints, I might try it with one!
That’s what I was thinking. I’m gonna make a solid one first. Then I think I want to do one with each braid a different color!
I made this with a bulky yarn and an L hook and it was huge! Going to try to make it at 50 chains (it's that big!) and see if it fits that way. Thanks for the super easy pattern, though! Only took me about 1.5 hours to make!

Ingenious. Also beginners may want to crochet over ponytail elastic for matching scrunchy.
Very pretty braid.. Ty for the easy to follow instructions!
