Wrong information. The Kyoto Protocol was adopted on December 11, 1997, in Kyoto, Japan. It was available for signing between March 16, 1998, and March 15, 1999, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and came into effect on February 16, 2005.
In a nutshell, yes. But, if everyone started thinking this way, we would be out luck pretty soon. And no amount of dollars are going to help us reverse the damage we made.
