@@ivanbajovic3476 you misunderstood what I said. The reason I use emad is because is my favorite bass drum head. However, I prefer remo heads on toms and snare.

it'll be nice to go back to all remo. i've been running emad for almost 20 years on my kicks and remo just about everywhere else. now if only i can get emperor x in 16 and 18.

Waiting for Powerstroke 4 SMT version! Thicker 2ply maybe 7+7 or how about an Emperor X SMT 10+10ply! Especially for heavy hitters and metal
??? this Emperor head is a 2ply head 7+5 mil... , Powerstroke 4 smt doesn´t make sense, as it is already dampend.
@@lordhelmchen8573 Powerstroke would be thicker or better dampening so the bass head can be tuned just above wrinkle for a more "Metal" sound. Also the Emperor X version would be like the EMAD2 heavy duty 10+10 ply, I forget the exact name.
Maybe even a CSX version of the SMT?
You could buy Remo Muff'l to use with the P4. Redundant imo. P4 is my favorite of their bass drum heads.
I believe the 2 ply version of this is 7+7 mil like the Emperor / P4.

Hey @remopercussion why not the full Emperor 7mil + 7mil thickness?
What about even thicker 2ply bass drum heads like 7mil + 10mil or 10mil + 10mil?
Is there a reason y'all went thinner on this not really Emperor weight bass drum head (and P4 and Powersonic)?
I like 24" bass drums, and with Remo's soft film, there's a point where a P3 just doesn't perform anymore, and a 12mil 2ply head just never seemed to be a big enough difference to switch.
I would think going heavier than this would be the solution.
Also, +1 to the 26ers.
If y'all can make these in 16", y'all can make them for real bass drum sizes like 26".

So how is remo not getting sued over what is an e-mad rip off😂😂😂 Once again behind the ball. I quit using remo when I had the mylar separate from the head rim in the middle of a session back in 2009.

We do not offer the SMT bass drumhead in Ebony but with our Sub Muffl bass drum muffling tray, you can apply the same style of muffling to any of our bass drumhead options including Ebony.
