Curious, why the cassette toilet is only good for number 1 and not number 2? Did the rental company tell you that? It's designed for both! You put chemicals in it to break everything down and eliminate odours. (we have used similar van & toilet setup) Or is that an Italy thing? Maybe lack of proper dump stations?
Hi Rob 👋 This is a great question. Honestly, the company we rented the van from gave us little to know instruction on best practices. Fortunately for us, TH-cam is amazing and helped us get up to speed quickly as this was our first experience living in a van. And on a few videos, people recommended only using a cassette toilet for numero uno's so that is the advice we went with. That said, it sounds like we could have saved ourselves some headaches based on what you are telling us. Thanks for sharing, we always appreciate it 🙌
@@ThePassportCouple totally agree with robscamino, looking at the toilet it looks like it's made by Thetford which you can do number 2s. Happy travels 😁

@@ThePassportCouple Also, its the law so that you don't get water on the switches and you don't touch switches with wet hands. Stops people using hair dryers etc in bathrooms, which is dangerous. take care :)

Nice video! The light switches are outside of the rooms so you don't have to walk into a dark room.
