Also yo Alex, coming from someone who is from lower Michigan and went to college up in the UP, here is some data I have for you:
1. So many people all over Michigan came to my college. And the rudest people I've met are ALL from Traverse City.
2. For some reason, the higher up in Michigan you get, the earlier food places close. In a COLLEGE TOWN, most of the restaurants and fast food places closed at 8 PM.
3. Sleeping Bear Dunes are legit.

Checked out maverick city cuz I’m looking for new music, and honestly it pretty good tbh. Especially the old church basement album
Restaurant employees just don't want to work. They don't want the business. Where I live, everything used to be open late with a lot of 24 hour places. Now, places want to close at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Odd thing, they open at 6 a.m. with few customers but lots of customers want to get food late but they just refuse to stay open late. IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE, they go out of their way to piss people off and turn away business.
I'm in business for myself and we stay open the same hours we have for 20 years. People are just lazy. Unfortunately, people don't want to work unless they're hungry or the rent is due in a few days. As long as people have a few dollars in their pocket, they will not show up to work. This is why I'm against the government giving ANYONE any financial support, EVER. It absolutely destroys society and the economy. I guess you must keep people on the verge of getting kicked out of their home/apartment and worried about where their next meal will come from. Shameful.
