You have a big rust spot on the side right where the pipes should come out you should just get a small sheet of steel cut two holes in it and you’ll have cheap way of a custom look for side pipes

It's a truck as far as interchangeable part's go also you can fold the rear seat flat n you'll have a bed to haul shit around just like your average truck can so technically it's a truck

As a suggestion to a lot of people who want to chop off a muffler and realize its pretty loud when you do that, put a small V shaped cut in front of the muffler to give it small amount of sound with the option to make it louder at a later time or to undo it with a sleeved exhaust clamp.

Hey Brother I have a 97 Silverado rear wheel drive I live in Oklahoma I cut the cats off and ran a Flowmaster Super 40 dual 2-inch dual 2 inch out dumped for the entire thing I think I paid around $300 and that's getting the back sensors deleted I still have my front sensors I get a lot of compliments on it it's weird you didn't talk about you having front sensors before the cats and we have the same engine and year and I promise you mine sounds a lot better still love your Channel😎
Lawson industries Insynerator race series muffler. 3in center inlet and 2.5 dual outlets, it sounds close to a flowmaster 40 series. Just has more tone to it, I paid $1800 installed, kept all sensors that was about 11 years ago. I just looked it up and the muffler itself is $45 bucks on amazon.

I got a 93 Burbon for $700 That was 7 years ago and still going strong and i beat on it off road a lot! Here is a tip though if the 4x4 fuse pops replace the front diff actuator or put a manual cable kit on it! BTW I chopped the muffler off my truck and put a turndown on it and it sounds good and the cat gives it enough back pressure.

I bought a cherry bomb muffler when I was in high school for my 02 Silverado. I cut of the original exhaust and installed the glass pack at midnight in a Shell parking lot. Not sure I even remember why it was that necessary.

To answer your question as to why you would want an expensive exhaust if you wanted a better sound because mufflers are required in PA. It says that you can't modify existing mufflers and methinks cutting them off is a modification. Also the sound limit in PA is 82dbs @35 mph that sounds about 105+dbs. Still love your vlog Mike..
ITS NOT FINE. The exhaust gases will filter up into the cabin, that is why the pipe needs go out the side at least or preferably out past the rear bumper.

I did that same thing to my 95 Yukon with the 5.7L TBI and I don't regret it. And surprisingly, my gas milage stayed the same if not got better!
