    lol the scene when they're wearing the suits and hats is how some men dress in Congo (as you could see the view zoomed into SZA on Congo out of the African continent)

    Good shit. It took me two listens to like the song cuz my ears are pure hip hop biased when it comes to whatever Kendrick is on, but the video made me love the song. The cinematography was great. It took you some place else for a few moments and it showed you black from other sides of the world. I like how in the Egyptian vain the three black woman were represented as gods whom kendrick came to in humility. It's all love for everybody contributing to the culture but it's nice to see a darker skin woman getting some shine. And she with muh fuckin tde.

    Read Willie Lynch all those who want to be educated , once reading it you will see why Kendrick video was necessary for this generation of black female's and males to see. ❤Kendrick

    The mere fact that y’all didn’t pick up on the cultural value and instead referenced bs, is cause for concern. Seriously.

    • @JaydeJuelz
      @JaydeJuelz  6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Seretha Edwards the fact you felt the need to criticize vs educate is the is the foundation of concern. Good lookin tho

      Jayde the video in itself was all the learning material you needed. You seem pretty intelligent, so for you not to make that connection is mind blowing. Those were not “niggas” on a boat. That sea of hands represented the million plus slaves whom lost there lives during the middle passage to the “free world”. Those who were not thrown over were slaughtered in Africa.i didn’t mean to come off so harsh, but this video is nothing short of black excellence! Cultural beauty.

      Yeah they are the reason Africans look down on African Americans. At 1:51 I couldn't help but cringe as she excitedly proclaimed Kendricks "light skinnedness" as he was being embraced by his African brothers and sisters. Their reaction shows a complete lack of self awareness the whole way through. Our people are lost in this artificial system of America. I am at least thankful that some of our true kings and queens like Kendrick are starting to wake up.

      Imonous I fw your outlook but it really intrigues me how the majority of you feel that the tint of someone’s skin dictates how ‘non-African’ they are. Like wtf lol and also a true king and queen is labeled whether we’re educated on certain topics? Idk man. Y’all gotta dig a lil deeper. In a sense it seems as though you all don’t value the inner being and more these worldly contradictions. 🤷🏽‍♀️ wait I’m sorry let me use the darkest emoji possible so I can come off as educated/African/woke 🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️😕

      Jayde Dig a lil deeper??!? You said that out loud!? Lol... US???? Dig???? I wasn’t being condescending, I made an observation. We are kings and queens which is why the fact that everything was “nigga this, nigga that” and the concept of the video was totally obliterated lol. Eerie? Whitney? Also, woke? Woke means nothing to me. Woke is a term designated to folks who are conscious, and misunderstood. Skin complexities are certainly a huge factor today as it was in the plantation era. So allow me to see myself out the 🚪 lol. Also, you are opening yourself up to criticism, both good and bad when you react on a public forum. And yes, I cringed too lol.
