One of my favorite 1/4 gold pieces is the 2016 gold Standing Liberty, then there’s the 1/2 ounce Walking Liberty and the 1/10 ounce Winged Liberty. My favorite design is the Winged Liberty aka Mercury dime. I love it so much that I have it in gold, silver, copper and palladium!
Nice coins but overpriced, buy the cheapest gold and the cheapest silver, as long as it's real silver and real gold, stay away from those numismatics, you'll thank me when devaluation crashes our dollar, go with the most recognizable silver and gold pieces always.
@@mikebourns9236 yeah, the premiums are really high on them. I did do a video showing that it is cheaper to buy fractional monthly if that's all you can afford then waiting to save up for a 1 oz piece.
Yes it is because the United States dollar is going to crash, our coinage is being devalued, it's now made of tin. Buy 90% silver and the cheapest gold you can find, it only has to be .999. You don't need 9999 or 99999. Just go for the lowest price possible on currency that can't be devalued, silver and gold. That's how Rome fell, they're denari that used to be made of silver eventually turned into lead. That's why Rome fell
I got to grab 26 1/10 oz eagles from a gold shop with the same percentage markup as an ounce. You can find it, go into local places and see what they have and ask to be called if fractional is brought in to sell
Why do people always talk about what size gold is the best, the only question you have to ask yourself is why do you buy gold? The only reason we buy gold is devaluation. Look at what currency we use today on an everyday basis, that would be paper and tin. Gold is gold, it is the king of all money, silver is gentleman's money, Palladium and platinum is also currency only when the dollar and our coinage devalues 100%. Just like it did in Rome. The reason why Rome fell was because their currency which was the denari went from being made of silver to lead. Caesar and the upper class could not pay their militaries anymore and they started losing territory. They say The barbarians walked right into Rome and burned it to the ground, I don't know if that's true or not, but what I know is, if you devalue currency, then you will have the eventual collapse of the country with the devalued currency, that can't happen with silver and gold bullion. If Rome would have kept silver in their coinage, they would have been able to maintain their military strength, gained even more territory and they would have thrived even longer. We are the modern-day Rome, regarding the United States. It's only a matter of time before the dollar completely falls and our coinage is already garbage, we are halfway there. That's why we buy gold and silver, it can never be devalued, it doesn't matter what the spot price is, it protects your wealth through intrinsic value and having inherent wealth. You don't buy gold and silver as an investment, you buy it as a shield to protect your wealth
I would say it depends on one's goal. One may want to consolidate. While others may want to divide to smaller pieces. For me it would be more financially feasible to buy a 1/10th over a 1/4. I would have it sooner than having to wait for the 1/4 just to find out the price increased. Also I enjoy your videos.
5 1/10. Bc as price goes higher and higher you can sell at the all time highs 5 times and could make more in the long run. Currently have a 1 oz age and 3 1/10 oz age. Just started stacking a few months ago
It's just like any other type of saving: every little bit helps and it all adds up in the long run! In some cases, factional gold is even superior to 1oz, because it *lends* itself better for dollar cost averaging! (ha, just stumbled upon a bad pun so it seems...)
Wow! Congrats on the big views on this video! Very nice! I love those 1/10 oz Britannia's. I think I may look into trading some silver for a couple. I have small gold bars but no coins or rounds.
@WorldMoneyWins when I bought my first PMs I bought a handful of 1, 2 and 5 gram fractional gold bars. I got a smoking deal on them when I got them and I really didn't know how good it was at the time. I Think it was 3 ounces total in fractionals. This was when gold was under 2k and oz though. Silver just a hair over 20 an oz. I didn't know it but I really bought it at the right time. If I remember correctly with the premium, the 1 gram bars were $54 or $56 per.
I’d prefer to have two 1/4 ounce coins and some spending money with the savings of not buying by the 1/10th ounce sizes! You’d probably save around $40 by going the 1/4 ounce route. Obviously it’s better to have smaller size fractional pieces, if prices were the same but that’s why the smaller the piece, the higher the premium!
2024 Britts are nice looking. Great fractional stack! I would love to have a 1/4 oz someday, but till then I'm happy with my 1/10s, and dos,dos y medio, and Cinco pesos. I don't have a 1/10 Phillie but they are lovely!!
I don't think that one is better than the other. It's a bit like asking if you want to carry around $100 dollar bills or $20 dollar bills. They are good what they are good for. The difference being that you will have paid a higher premium for your five coins relative to your two coins, so I would say that it makes the most sense to have some coins in all of the available less than 1 ounce fractions. So have a few 1/2 ounce coins. Have a few more 1/4 ounce coins. Then have even a few more than that in 1/10 ounce coins. I try to keep them proportional. So if I have 10 ounces in 1/4 ounce Gold coins, that will mean that I would also have 10 ounces in 1/2 ounce coins and 10 ounces in 1/10 ounce coins. I personally don't like going below 1/10 ounce just because when you get much smaller than 1/10 ounce, they just become too small and too easy to lose or mishandle. I also tend to stick with strictly 22k Gold, which means that I basically only buy Eagles & Krugerrands. If it's an even trade 2 quarters for 5 one-tenths then obviously the one-tenths were the better deal. Glad to see anyone stacking fractional Gold. I think 1/2, 1/4, and 1/10 22k coins are the sweet spot for stacking Gold. Keep up the good work!
@@veritasfiles You should do a video about your stacking method with the 22 karat coins. I would be interested in watching that. 👍 I agree with you.
