I needed to replace the nearside brake light in my Citroën Grand C4 Picasso. In the owners handbook it said;
"For this type of lamp, contact a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop". Thanks to your video I had no trouble at all replacing the lamp. I have no idea how much money you saved me, but I'm very thankful for your clear and unambiguous guide.
I feel that as I have got older, cars have got more complicated! Used to be able to change a bloody lightbulb with out consulting Google!!! Thank you for educating me with this video it is greatly appreciated xx
Very helpful - thank you. Typical modern car - pain in the ass to do even the most simple of jobs. I remember my first car (1985 ford fiesta) changing a bulb was a two minute job!
Yes, Paul...I know "the feeling..." it used to be much easier before....i had a old Chevi....Thanks for the feedback and I am happy that i was able to help....!
Thank you for sharing this video! Very helpful. Liked & Subscribed. To think I failed an M.O.T because of these bulbs NOT working. I asked the Wife BEFORE I left, "Are the lights coming on when I press the pedal, my dear?" "Oh yes," she replied, "yep! All is good, all is on" Just to make sure, I asked Mother and Sister in Law too. They all agreed it was working, and then we all progressed to calling the M.O.T service station a bunch of robbing B@%^!*rd$. Not to their faces obviously! So it was the night before the M.O.T and I decided to ask our 10-year-old to help me out. Within 3 seconds she said "No, there are no lights coming on at all" We swapped roles, and I stood at the tail myself. She was right, there were no lights coming on at all. I tested the hazards/indicators and reverse lamp. Both working as they should. I needed a visual reminder of the location for these stop lamps, so decided to search TH-cam and here we are! Thank you for sharing. Sometimes when you want something done, do it yourself or ask a 10 year old! :-)
By the way Alexander, have you come across any issue related to the DPF filter? I got a message in the dash board " risk filter blocking" so I went to Citroen and the replacement of this filter is about 800€😨😨😨
No..sorry Gerardo...unfortunately i can not help with that one. I have seen different messages on my dashboard (which is making to not have too much faith on this car), but not the one mentioned by yourself. 800 sounds too much!....seems like when i have to change the turbo for the C4....it was about 900!.... Good luck! A.
I got this error message last Autumn. They tried to run forced burning with tester in repair shop but it was interrupted every time. In the end the reason was 2nd temperature sensor which monitors the particle filter temperature in the beginning of burning routine. I also detached the filter and used pressure washer (with reversed water flow from rear to front) to clean the filter. There was lot's of red (eolys) and black (carbon particles) dirt coming out. Now it is running perfectly again. Do not buy new one until trying to wash the old one.
Thanks for the video! This is one of the reasons young people are not into cars. How can it be that to change a simple light bulb you have to own a long torx screwdriver? How can having to remove the whole tail light be the best solution Citroen came with? Its really stupid. Thanks again for the video, I would not have figured it out on my own...

Hi Gerardo, I am happy that it was useful for you! It is a pleasure to help...
Very useful. Thanks for taking the time. If you ever re-do a little light shining on the plastic housing would help.
Thanx very much!!

Hi Fede, thanks for your comments. I kind of agree with you in terms of Citroen unhelpful way of doing it, but I am glad that i was of help for you!
I agree with this completely. A very useful upload but Citroen should not have made it so complicated
as my mechanic said as i handed over £900 "you only ever need to own 1 French car" (apparently I am a slow learner, on my 3rd)
thanks
You are welcome Rook...
Hey thanks. Just let me add the driver is a Torx T20, not a "star" whatever.
