I really think that the illegal break rule needs to be looked at. you often see balls that were going to cross the baulk line, kissed back down table. not sure how it can be resolved though. perhaps number of balls passed centre pocket rather than baulk. or a speed gun on cue ball ?
I agree, it should be centre pocket, not break line, the main point of the rule is to stop tap-breaks and promote more attacking play, all these instances should have been legal breaks in my opinion
