- This 30-minute video tour of the Asian Art Museum's collection galleries, at its former location in Golden Gate Park, highlights ceramics, jades, bronzes, paintings, and Buddhist arts representing some six thousand years of Chinese culture and tradition. Presented by Brian Hogarth.
Excellent presentation!!! I enjoyed it very much. I wish other museums had made similar videos explaining the history, the culture and how the different objects were made. Congratulations!!!

Was that carved blue bird made of chalcedony?
Great presenter
I’ve just bought a jade bird carving very similar to this @ 27:47 from a charity shop....
How did all of these get into US museums ?
Nice!
Holy moly,,look at them,
How did all these Chinese treasures ended up in US?
Lots them were purchased between “1910-1949”, some through auctions, it’s not what many Chinese thought that they were robbed during the war in mid 1850s.
Where does this collection reside today?
Good shit sir
Where does this collection live now?
A GREAT VIDEO BUT SADLY THE PICTURE QUALITY NEEDS IMPROVING FOR DETAIL.

Can't stand how yanks say ' Boooooda' His name is BUD DAH 🤪
I believe The Buddha family don't come from Indian I think it may have come from Southern Africa such as as Somalia , Ethiopia , may be Yemen and more and they may be a decendant of Ethiopia Kingdom/Black Jews that is my personal opinion
5 Mekong Nations must have their own native god , should not relying on foreign Buddha or Hindu God why should , 5 Mekong Nations Burma , Laos , Siam , Cambodia and Vietnam prey to foreigner God
Buddha was born in Nepal, it’s not replying on foreign God, it’s accepting, meaning after you die you will either see Buddha or Buddhist hell, same thing if you are Christian you see God or Satanic hell.
