Is there a function to change wallpaper of the headunit? I have the old AX100 and i am able to. your sound levels between dialogue and music has too big of a difference otherwise awesome video! Good simple straightforward breakdown of the heat unit.
It's annoying isn't it when the dialog/music is different. Not much I can do now. The book doesn't mention you can change it, we've not changed it yet but we do have a client who has successfully changed his.
I don't suppose you know if the crossover on it will allow you to do a band-pass? I need to get 100-300Hz or so to a pair of speakers but I don't really want to have to change my amp (which is basic and only has an HPF on the stereo front and rear)
hi would you recommed an upgrade in 2024 to the XAV ax 8050? i have some doubt about the frames in this last one.. but maybe im too superficial.. so, would you recommend an upgrade from the 6050 to 8050?
The 8050 is a downgrade from the 6050. The 8050 floating screen unit is a different type of unit, really. The resistive floating screen etc. The 6050 is capacitive and is Sonys premium double din right now. Like I say, two different types of unit for different jobs.
Do you think, or know when, Sony will release a 9-inch floating screen unit with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay? (a new version of Sony XAV AX8050D/8150D)
They’’re a pain in the arse for the A3, Alex. You have to buy a few and use the best one, return the rest. Sounds daft but it’s hit and miss with the A3 of this era.
@@denysmoroz89 , I've read this in various places 'CarPlay actually uses the car's GPS, not the phone's, when connected wirelessly. It's in the specs for CarPlay. They did this because the car's antenna should work better than the phone's as its exposed on top of the car.' Not sure about AA. I expect it's similar
800 Watts isn't that much. I don't know what your experience will be, I'd imagine a well built pan roof will be fine. An old ass french pan roof, for instance, obviously not so.
I just bought this unit. Guys, if you’re on the fence, just go ahead and buy it. I was worried about screen quality but it looks very pleasing to the eye and responds almost as quick as my Iphone 13 pro max. The radio tuner seems to be of a good quality with little to no noise and good reception it seems. Furthermore it is super quick to load up and react to input. I recommend this unit, money well spent haha!

They will release the 9500es, I can't disclose the release date.

Carplay needs a GPS antenna on the head unit.

It's for the wifi link of Carplay/Android Auto.
Can you give me advice please looking to buy a newish car with a pan roof but if you put 800 Watts of bass in it do they rattle like fuck?

I bought this radio and I am disappointed. The screen has a poor viewing angle and is unreadable on a sunny day. Do you also have such problems?
what's the biggest difference to the 5650?
I'd say the option for wireless carplay, it was heavily requested. Sonically, not much.
