nice and informative video.During output request ,"sol applicability view" is showing SOL601 and SOL701 options in the drop down list as well ,whereas they both were discontinued from NX2021 July release.so how can they be still showing and what is their use since they were replaced by SOL 401 and SOL402 respectively. Also during Solution Step selection , Non linear statics was chosen instead of nonlinear dynamics whereas in study although the bracket is fixed however the plate is moving down and up.afterwards solving the solution, pressure on plate is also calculated. Why was dynamics not chosen in this case? thank you
Thanks, glad you liked it. When we removed SOL601 and SOL701 from the Nastran solver environment we created a new Adina Nastran Interface solver environment and support solutions 601 and 701 for customer who have it through Adina. I used nonlinear statics instead of nonlinear dynamics because the simulation is crushing the bracket at low speed with an enforced displacement and no inertial effects. If I was instead dropping a weight on it to crush it, I would have had to use a nonlinear dynamics subcase to account for the inertial effects of the mass dropping and being decelerated by the bracket as it crushes it.
@@Simcenter3DTipsandTricks thanks for the reply.is a Tutorial available for using CWELD and CFAST elements as spot weld connections doesn't have those elements and doesn't accurately reproduce actual spot weld results. Thanks
@@gauravsharma-ot6vs Spot weld uses a 1D element to model the connection and is accurate. If you would like to investigate CFAST, I found an old video from NX 12 and have posted it here: th-cam.com/video/Fg1dNOUODI0/w-d-xo.html I have an older one for CWELD from version 7.5 but not sure it is still relevant. Also, it is a silent video (no audio).
