I almost fell asleep while watching this, not because I was bored, God no, but because it was so peaceful, I only discovered your channel recently, but in a world where most bakers I see treat baking like a picture perfect process, its nice to see someone who takes they're time and isn't in your face about the best way to do something, so thank you Joshua
Thank you! Im so glad you found my channel! I dont consider myself the best baker/cook but I love to share what I bake and draw hehe. So Im glad you were able to pick up on that 😊
i saw the short of this this morning and decided i'd make it tonight LOL! finally cutting into it just now, and it's safe to say i'll be making it again! it's moist and chocolatey like texas sheet cake, but very fluffy like angel food cake, and i'm a fan despite not loving chocolate! goes well with a bit of ice cream, i'm gonna have some raspberries with it tomorrow too~. thanks for the video and showing the recipe!!
Im so glad you enjoyed it and its a part of your go-tos now! I love sharing recipes of foods I love and it makes me so happy to hear when others love it as well. :D
Ohh this is basically a Gateau au chocolat! I used to make this in high school when my house had no food but basic ingredients haha! I do prefer the recipes with a few tbs of flour because it's a bit more cakey, rather than an aerated chocolate slice. ❤ great video glad to see you back!
Love the peaceful and comforting atmosphere of ur vids! Defo one of my top 3 fave youtube channels ^_^ I wondered if there was there a particular reason you use a flour-free recipe? Regardless, it looks delicious! :D
Thank you! Im so glad you find my videos peaceful and comforting :) I like having at least one flourless cake recipe in my repertoire just in case I know someone with gluten sensitivity. But also, I like this cake since it has a different texture from other chocolate cakes Im used to: a bit more fudgy, airy and light. Its basically a chocolate soufflé cake! Haha. But I also love chocolate cakes with flour as well! If you want something in between, I would recommend a Gâteau au Chocolate :)

🥰
Do you know if adding baking powder, the cake will stay more inflated?? Also amazing video and you’re so talented!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Im not sure about the baking powder since I never tried it. 🤔 thanks!
A flourless cake is meant to be dense, not airy or risen.
As always, it looks delicious 😋
Hope you’re completely okay now 😊
Thank you! Im feeling much better. ☺️
i wonder after cooked is it smells so egg?
I havent been told it tastes eggy from my friends who have eaten it but since I baked it, I do taste it a bit haha
hi, do you have te recipe in grams? 🙂
Hello!
6 tbs butter is ~85 grams.
As for the chocolate: 8 ounces is ~226g
And sugar is 100g
I love this, but I can’t eat either eggs, flour or butter 😅😢
Oh no! Theres gluten free vegan chocolate cakes as well! I believe they use bananas, apple sauce, and almond flour
