Hi, is this your homework? It's probably better for you if you try to learn the rules for when to use "a." Here's help for that: www.englishpage.com/articles/index.htm
Hi, no, "battle" has the /æ/ vowel as in "cat." Here's help for the difference between the vowels in "bottle" and "battle": th-cam.com/video/5_BKfkhORgc/w-d-xo.html
For me the most difficult part is the sound of that O. I try to say it as in dOg, but oppening the mouth more, but don't know if that's correct or even get close.
The O in "bottle" sounds like "AH" as in "father," so you might try to think of it as open and not rounded (unlike the o in "dog," which has some lip rounding. Here's more help for the /ɑ/ sound of "bottle:" th-cam.com/video/i74p3jB_Udk/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/5_BKfkhORgc/w-d-xo.html
Hello You say that as a beginner we can learn by mimicing others. Like play a youtube video then say phrases behind that video. But if we don't write we will forget what was said in that video. But writing everything in a hour video takes a lot of time. Can you please suggest anything? Like should we just listen to the video and repeat every phrase without writing? What about we forgetting everything next day? Or even after few hours?
Hi, what is your goal? If you are working on pronunciation and accent, you don't need to write it down, you can work by ear. If you notice a word or phrase that you weren't aware of, you can take a few notes. If you are working on listening and understanding, there are some sites where you can download the text as well as hearing the video, for example: learningenglish.voanews.com/a/what-are-the-good-effects-of-walking-/7865636.html or read/listen to podcasts: www.npr.org/2024/11/24/nx-s1-5199725/50-years-after-her-discovery-lucys-skeleton-still-shapes-paleoanthropology

Hi, I'm sorry to hear it, it might be something that the site host has to do legally depending on your location. You can try using a VPN, or try going to my free materials (I hope they are not blocked): www.speechmodification.com/free You can also try my podcasts: open.spotify.com/show/08bZWUudEw9hohGPPIH32A
@ thanks! Yes, it’s always location. It feels like we are not suffering enough already. Instead of helping people in Ukraine they just block us. Sorry, but it really hurts. Your podcast on Spotify works, thanks 🙏🏻😇
Okay, so sorry about that, if there's any way I can do a work around for you, I'll let you know. I've had a few clients from Ukraine and they were able to access my site okay, so I'm not sure why it's blocked for you.
@@SpeechModification thank you! I am not sure too. I am watching your videos on TH-cam just all right & I can listen to podcasts too. But no access to the site.
