- The Maldives is certainly a very beautiful country that offers its visitors amazing cuisine, stunning views of crystal clear water, variety of water activities, luxurious resorts but mainly very hospitable, nice and kind people.
The vibes that one feels while travelling through this breathtaking country are very positive. Maldivians always smile, welcome you with an open heart and maybe treat you even for a meal. It is a muslim country though so we have to be aware of local traditions and customs. For example if a lady had a hijab, I was not able to hug them. You can still send and receive an “air hug” though:) You can see how they would want to but the tradition does not allow that. And of course that has to be respected. Traditions are a huge part of every country and as a part of a culture, it is important to understand them. However, when it comes to hugging, a hug has a healing power in any country. And so I was very happy to see that many people actually did hug, most of them in fact.
And I was able to see all the smiles and positivity that it created on people’s faces and around their karma (no, I don’t see that one hehe but you simply feel it).
It’s a blessing to be able to spread some love and share a few smiles. And trust me, its not an art. Anyone can do that. You can too…🫶😉
