I very much appreciate your detailed explanations of The Phillips Curve, ma'am. I have one question what does the original Phillips curve tell us about the AS curve in one year? I am confused about what the SRAS and SRPC will shift to in one year. Thank you so much and hope you respond.
Phillips curve is like the Aggregate supply curve which shows relationships between price level and employment in short term. As price level rises employment also rises in case of Phillips curve and Aggregate supply. OK beta
A.W. (Alban William) Phillips, commonly referred to as A.W. Phillips, was indeed born in New Zealand, but he is typically referred to as a British economist. He was born on November 18, 1914, in Te Rehunga near Dannevirke, New Zealand. Despite his New Zealand origins, his significant contributions to economics, including the famous Phillips Curve, were made while he was based in the United Kingdom. Phillips spent much of his professional career at the London School of Economics, where he conducted his most influential work. Hence, he is often classified as a British economist due to his academic and professional affiliations in the UK.
