ECC83 and 12AX7 are the same thing. Now a 12AT7 will have less gain than a 12AX7 cause it runs cooler. These can be swapped due to taste and the guitar players preference
@@graggjoel Its all good my man. I appreciate the watch. And now that I think about it...that 12AT7 might be driving the reverb on the '64 Reverb. I would be interested in hearing my amp with a lower gain pre-amp tube. Might be able to get a little more head room
@@deanmlshredder Not yet. Haven't purchased any tubes recently. I did throw in a new power tube just to try and it cleaned up about 10%. I think the stock power tube was fine but had extras laying around and wanted to see. Thru in a JJ
After 10 minutes you had me! At first I let the video run on the side, but then the sound and your cool rhythm grabbed me! Very nice video!
Thanks so much for the watch!
🤟🤟🤟
Nice vid, however, Supro says this version has an ECC83 as the preamp tube It's the 64' Reverb version has a 12AX7 and 12AT7.

@@DominickArena Duh, I feel silly lol. I realize now it's the British name. I was coming to delete or edit my comment.

@@DominickArena did you try it? My hypothesis is just lower overall volume but it would be interesting to find out.

Made in China brother, I have one
Really? Mine says New York on the back plate. Are these really made in China??
@@DominickArena yes they are unfortunately I emailed supro direct, reply stated that its assembled in china ,which I'm not happy about for £679
@@neilmurphy9926 Wow thats a shame at this price point. I had no idea. I will admit thou its built like a tank!
@@DominickArena I agree it's well built inside and out ,mine says New York but they are built in china
That’s inaccurate. The ones built prior to mid 2020 are USA made, in New York. They are now made in China and do not have New York on the faceplate.
