Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like it! & yeah, it's a really great guitar. Unfortunately, I played the killswitch to death (literally, it's just stuck now) & I ruined some of the paint job on the backside during shooting a video at an abandoned fort.
ah, that's a shame. I notice your skill level has increased since the last time I watched your videos. I just like how your character is just the same still, consistency where it matters it seems! Not too sure how you and others manage to play guitars without the fret inlays on the neck, I find them to be the one feature keeping me from getting lost all the time, interested if that just comes from experience or just knowledge of where every fret is without needing a visual indicator. Despite that, still looking at you for inspiration to improve myself, heh
Thank you once again, glad to hear it! Well, it might be kinda inconvenient at first, but you get used to it after a while if you play the instrument on a regular basis. It can get a bit confusing while playing live in dark rooms or with some light effects or something. I personally don't need them that much, since I mostly orient myself on the sound rather than visual view (kinda like violin sort of thing), plus you still have those little dots on the top (or rather side) of the neck, which could help you out as well.
I'd be lying if I said inlays aren't one of my favourite features of a guitar (mainly for aesthetic reasons)- really makes the neck pop and gives the instrument a bit more style. Each to their own but I find comfort in sticking to the easiest route, that being one without a learning curve :)
I agree, & I find the birds on PRS guitars pretty cool too. I stumbled across some inlay stickers back in the day, but not only wasn't it hard to figure out on my own that those things were definitely not something you wanna put on your guitar neck but there were also a bunch of people complaining about them as well, so I'd say avoid that stuff & if you really want it, let the pro's build them in.
