- Never imagined that I would meet a Belgian who would speak Hindi! such fluent Hindi! Meet the founder of 'Mala India' a non-profit Indian Store that has the most exquisite collection of everything Indian: spices, handicrafts, idols, paintings, home decoration, clothing, utensils, crockery, jewellery, gifts, books, furniture and a selected collection of art pieces from Indian havelies. This fabulous store is huge: you need to reserve an hour or 2 atleast to visit everything.
Situated just 20 mins from Brussel and in the historic city of Waterloo, Mala India is jointly owned by about 50 people today. Each and every person here works on 'volunteer basis' and for free. All profits are dedicated to ensuring children's education in India.
The founder has a rich experience of visiting India and its culture - no doubt he speaks Hindi fluently.

Hey Mansi! Never have seen or heard about this shop though I live in Belgium so many years! Beautiful. Thanks for showing. True....like the gentleman said, not many Belgians know much about India. All my Belgian colleagues , friends, people known to me are more aware about India because of me. I have taken 3 of my Belgian friends to India and they were impressed.

Mala is not only a shop. There is a bit of the Indian soul. Its main vocation of helping the schooling of Indian children gives it its full meaning. Generosity and humanity are its niches. Visit not to be missed.

I have one question in mind, is there annual increment happen in Belgium in IT job like we have in india in the month of march? if yes, what is the avg percentage?
thanks, and yes there is increment/or the indexation. it varies each year but this year it was higher than in past due to rising prices as well... apprx 10%
