I guess your problem is with resolution. Go to data/mugen.cfg file. Open it with notepad. Under "[Config]" section, change "GameWidth = 800" and "GameHeight = 600" to your style.

To add more stages, put your stage files in "stages" folder. Then open "data\bM1point0\brokenSELECT", under [ExtraStages] add your stage's name like this "stages/name.def". To add characters, you should delete some of them to open space for them since all slots are used.

Make sure that there isn't (1) or any numbers in rar files' names like "part05". Seems u have downloaded multiple copies. Part07 may be unfinished or corrupted too, try to download part07 again.

They are all edits of random people. If you are looking for normal versions, you can search at mugenfree or mugenguild sites.

Unfortunately no. Game folder is compressed and parted whole so you cant get characters downloading only spesific part.
