I had practices, went to open soccer, etc. on top of that, and I didn't feel a thing because I was young. I knew some guys ~40 who came to open soccer, and they would be sore nearly an entire week after that. The older you are the more rest you need both during a game and in between them. That shouldn't diminish the accomplishment though.

The Clippers didn't deserve to play the Lakers because they couldn't win their series. The Lakers beat the team that beat the Clippers in 5 games. As for the Finals opponent? Who else would have made a better matchup? The Heat beat every opponent they faced in the East, and convincingly. Who is to say any other matchup would have fared better against the Lakers? The Lakers beat every team they went up against. It isn't their fault some supposedly better matchups couldn't even make it far enough to play against them. The Lakers had no control over who their opponents were.
