I love that fact that you stumble on you script a bit (it's harder than it seems!) but you don't let it stop you; you just carry on sharing your information. Thanks for these videos!
Again, how the hell can someone downvote this video? What is wrong with people? He's explaining how an AEG works. As far as I can tell, he presented a difficult (and frankly tedious) topic in an easy-to-digest format. Good work!
Thanks a lot, it's frustrating at times seeing all the negative feedback on something that's literally just supposed to inform... and always lovely to hear the other side :)

this was very useful actually and i thank you for making it as until now the gear box has just been this magic, anomalous, thing that turns motor spin into piston pull/release that i have been afraid to open up and look at for fear of R.U.D (Rapid Unplanned disassembly)
I love techy things, and while I could guess what was going on inside it is always quite interesting to actually see the insides and how they fit together. This is probably just a matter of personal viewing preference, but in case you are looking for some constructive criticism, I think that the fact that the close up you cut in didn't match up with what you were talking about / doing in the non-closeup part made that part seem slightly disorganised. I loved the closeup, but maybe it would have been better to have it as a quick cut-to where you reiterate how it works before returning to what you were discussing (or alternatively if it were just a closeup of the things on the screen)? I was impressed that you managed to do it all in one go :)
That was hugely helpful, thank you so much. I just got my first AEG and could not figure out what appeared to be a feeding problem. Once I understood the internals, I figured out the problem was actually not having the mag sufficiently wound up.
Great stuff! I've always been hesitant to crack my AEG open. I assume that at some point you will cover some of the thing to modify and improve the performance of a AEG?
I'm probably way too late on this, but these work the same way as spring powered Nerf Blaster, except everything is bigger and more powerful to shoot foam darts rather than BBs. There's a huge community behind modding and building those.
Good video; Especially like the way you are going about introducing the game and the mechanics behind the game more so then just churning out all the game-play footage you can without nice information along side it.
Thanks dude :) That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve and also avoid so pleased to hear that someone appreciates it also! Gameplay is fun but I felt it both needed some context, but honestly, I also love both the teching side of airsoft and also sharing what I've learned with people :)
Just started with Airsoft. But I'm very familiar with remote control cars in the motor is in the gears and everything also know about pneumatic air guns. What you just showed put everything together what I needed to know thank you so much I appreciate it
@@undyingUmbrage problem is gas is more expensive than electric. gbb is pretty cool though. almost all the milsim guys at the field i go to use gas and theyre also quieter than the aeg dude.
What you need to do to improve is release a load more of these videos! You are by far the most clear, concise and interesting youtuber explaining these airsoft systems. They are interesting to listen to and easy to process. Airsoft has grown so much since you put this video out, please make more airsoft videos!
@@w4stedspace 2 years ago it was these very videos I first watched before my 1st ever game day as a rental down the local woodland. Me, about to use this knowledge to make a Halo M7S from Halo 3 ODST: It’s got a mag on the side, so the assembly is awkward - or at least, so you would think. Really, I’m just going to use every other battery cover’s strategy: notches and studs in the front of the mag holder and magazine respectively with an easy release mechanism on the grip. I’ve got it all figured out in my mind, but the main issue with my plan is that I don’t have the parts or money to build it.
My freinds and I just started airsoft we all got new guns and didn’t know how to use AEGs they has no idea I had been saving up for an LMG and rocked them lol but anyway thanks for teaching us
Depends a little, in a 'normal' AEG, yes there is - the time it takes for the piston to pull back and then release delays the shot. It's possible to fit one with a electronic fire control system and trigger, and some of these do something called pre-cocking, where instead of the piston stopping at the front where the sector hear runs out of teeth - it continues to cycle until the piston is ready to release. Puts more wear and force on components, but it's how you get the instant-fire in airsoft outside of bolt actions (and also why most snipers are bolt action - the delay in firing would be really detrimental there)
I love that fact that you stumble on you script a bit (it's harder than it seems!) but you don't let it stop you; you just carry on sharing your information. Thanks for these videos!

So there would be some delay between pulling the trigger and the airsoft BB being shot?
Depends a little, in a 'normal' AEG, yes there is - the time it takes for the piston to pull back and then release delays the shot.
It's possible to fit one with a electronic fire control system and trigger, and some of these do something called pre-cocking, where instead of the piston stopping at the front where the sector hear runs out of teeth - it continues to cycle until the piston is ready to release.
Puts more wear and force on components, but it's how you get the instant-fire in airsoft outside of bolt actions (and also why most snipers are bolt action - the delay in firing would be really detrimental there)
