Man, the 90's BMW was the golden era, just think about it: E46 3-series, E39 5-series, E38 7-series and the E31 8-series are the most beatuful stylish and timeless designs in each series AND they were around all at the same time. This was just brilliant. Looking at modern BMW like the XM, man I wonder what has happened since then? Do they really know their own history and cars they used to make?
bought an 03 530i as my first car for $500, thing was completely run into the ground with 200k miles on most of the parts. Fell in love with it as I worked on it and it's become something so incredibly special. What a timeless design, I always break my neck looking at it after I park lmao
The front face is the best looking BMW car ever. The entire profile of the car is timeless. This is the golden ratio of car designs. The perfect sedan shape, and one hell of a sleeper car. In one word, I would describe this car as "measured". @7:36 why are there coins outside the coin holder?!
Great review I just picked up an 02 M5 beginning of the month. It didn’t come with the style 65 I luckily found a wrecked m5 a few cities over from me. Agreed style 65 are the best looking rims on the e39

E39 quality is among the best and reliability is good (E60 with the N52 engine is even better). You’ll need to replace the cooling system and window regulators every 60-80k miles. That’s about it. I’ve had more problematic Japanese cars than either of my 5-series (not M5) cars.
I can! I did a redesign of the E46 M3 with “modern” BMW kidneys way back here in the channel. One of the most disliked videos I’ve ever uploaded. I don’t blame them lol
Yes... everything got too computer based after this, and the Clive video with Madonna was a classic. BMW could do no wrong then. Now, just about everything they do is wrong.
I noticed back in 2016 when borrowing my friends 1st Gen X3 that had the roof lining out for refurbishing that the “BMW-smell” actually comes very much from the glue they used to attach the lining to the roof! It’s is the exact same smell that I also find from my 2002 E39 M5. ❤️😊
The last true drivers BMW. I have an 03 540 m sport so it has the look of an M5 and about 80% of what the m5 is. I still lust after an m5 tho. It's just one of those cars that when you park it and walk away you have to look back at it a few times as you walk away.

Between these, styles 5, 32, 42 and others, this is also perhaps the best era of OE BMW wheels.
