That’s no goal decision was heartbreaking. But necessary. I can’t imagine how bad it would’ve felt for spurs to go out to an offside goal. But that feeling when Sterling scored. I haven’t heard that noise in any stadium for a long time. People jumping over seats left right and centre, people falling down aisles, and hugging every random stranger you could see. It was complete euphoria and I looked in front of me at, I think it was Sanchez and Eriksen, laying with their faces to the ground in agony. And I pictured in my head that moment when United beat Munich in 99. And then 30 seconds later we were out. The emotions were completely flipped around. Next thing Guardiola drops to the floor in disbelief. It was the most heartbreaking end to the game. To go from the best you’ll feel watching a football match to the worst. It’s like watching your team score the winning goal, and then watching them concede the winning goal. It’s so cruel how VAR toyed with our emotions that day. But fairplay to spurs, I hope they do England proud and bring the European Cup back to the home of football. All feelings towards the result aside, there’s no denying that game was a champions league classic and the all England tie has proven never to disappoint
